Harrison is getting so big! It's always great to see what you guys are getting up to and it's exciting to see you're still making props for the famous Winchester House. If you gotta be stuck living in California it's nice that you can have work that you're passionate about.
Yay! I miss you all so much! I hope you are all doing really well! I'm excited to hear you have more videos in the pipeline! Jeana, Chris and Harrison - you are my favorite makers!
Yay! Beautiful stone texture and paint! Jeana is so talented with the layers of paint and has a great eye for getting the right look. Chris has the problem solver mentality and clever craftsmanship to make any material work for any build! No wonder WMH keeps asking for more every year!
BRILLIANT ❤ you guys just keep getting better and better. The pumpkins are epic. 🎃 What an honor to be a part of that history. I love all the old pictures of the property and how nothing around there at all.
Wow guys! These are amazing! They look like they’ve been sat there for a century! You did an amazing job! Great to see you back.. but can you do me a favour?… build me some of these pillars and ship them to the UK?.. I need these in my haunt pronto 😂😂 Great to see content from you guys again and see you in the next one 🎃💀👻
As a tip for something I figured out with my own props some time ago. To really make them blend in and not look "ploped down" when standing on flat ground anymore, I use bits of wood or other thin edge profile that I cover with dirt, leaf litter, sticks and small stones glued onto it. Also add a bit of flexible foam like eva before that to make it a bit more uneven and irregular. (flexible because it`s close to he ground and that way is less likely to get damaged, more robust) To really sell the illusion I also add bits and pieces or realistic artificial plants, like the leafs of artificial flowers and small cut off pieces from artificial grass. Colour them with a wash and/or dusting of spray paint to make them look less healthy as well as more dirty and it creates a wonderful illusion of being random bit´s of weeds that tend to grow at the sides of old walls or other construction. That way I create skirts/covers that just slip on the bottom after putting down the prop, and that can be removed for storage and easier handling. Depending on what the base profile is i either use pins or some matichning channel the profile can slide in to keep it in place. But if there is more vegetation on it I also use threaded inserts on the prop and a few small bolts that are hidden between the "weeds". That way I can create the illusion that the piece is actually part of the area and has been standing there for some time while making it look even older at the same time, as these edges always accumulate dirt, litter and weeds the older they get. It´s interesting how much such little details can change the perception. And the eara where the prop meets the ground is while not generally conciously looked at always something that tells people "prop". And with things like this gate that matches the sourrounding construction already, it can be so good that people will mistake it for an actual part of the area and not a prop. In my mind making props is always playing with peoples expectations and perception, and certain small details can do a lot.
Good tips! We have definitely incorporated those ideas into our scenery before. I guess it all depends on the look you're going for. For this project, if you were to walk the grounds of the Winchester, this is exactly how the bases look, clean to concrete. Thanks so much for the ideas and thanks for watching.
ALWAYS love to see what you guys do with your Halloween decor! This however is quite stunning! It inspires me to do stuff around the house! I keep learning from you and others, while I try to create stage sets for shows. Trust me when I say, I love to go that extra mile, to make people go 'wow'. And you guys do the 'wow' just that much better! Thanks for posting this video!
Great to see you guys are back! Was just talking about you today with my wife.... and telling her we have a friend in common. I work in the film industry in Puerto Rico, and a coworker told me about you and that she had some friends that buid for haunts etc. And i told her that i knew you from TH-cam an was subscribed to your channel.

We build all our outdoor props to withstand the elements. It has three different layers of hardcoating and then sealed with a clear coat. So far so good!
i was thinking about you two just yesterday!!!! i got some halloween hunger and i remembered your incredible ghost old west town... this gate and pillars are amazing, when they call you to do custom pieces, do they keep them? is like they ere buying them? or you made them custom and "rent them"? im wondering why the stone pumpkings were at your house.
Most of the large props we build they keep. The pumpkins are kept backstage on their property when not on the front pillars. They just happened to be down and we snapped a picture, but the Winchester owns them.
Happy to see yall back...missed you and Chris and Harrison
Thank you so much! Glad to be back 🖤
Chris and Jeana are back!!!! More videos please
Working on the next one as I write 😊
So beautiful! You really matched the original stones. I am sure that 99% of people go past it and think that it has always been there.
Thank you so much for the kind compliment 😊
We have two heavy columns for our haunt as well. My son and I named them pain and suffering.
Lol!!! Sounds like that could have been the names for ours too 😂

ok got it! thanks for the answer! @@HollywoodHaunter
does she ever let you finish talking?
Lol! Funny cause I'm usually the one talking everyone's ears off. Glad there's proof I can refrain sometimes 😂 We do appreciate you watching.
It's a bit nauseating how this woman keeps interrupting her husband and inserting words into his sentences. I'll bet it drives him bonkers.
