    Tyler has always mentioned feeling split(divided), so I think that's ultimately what gave birth to blurryface. I always envision blurryface in the driver seat and tyler in the back, much like the later visualization in heavydirtysoul. Great reaction!

    You should totally listen to Implicit demand for Proof. You mentioned some songs ago that they usually end their album in one way and I also feel like they start an album in a specific way, for example in Ode to Sleep he talks about they day and night times which gets mentioned a lot in Vessel. Heavydirtysoul introduces blurryface and Jumpsuit introduces us to the world Trench he made. So you should totally listen to Implicit demand for proof because it really shows what the album is all about.

    i don't get the people who don't like pausing - do they really just want to sit here and watch someone listen to a song? they can listen to the song on their own...i'd think most people would want your analysis as the song goes
    Self Titled does have a lot of meaning about his faith - i think this song is no different and you're spot on - i think it's pretty widely agreed upon that the three men up front are the trinity

      I can explain this, because it happens to me. Don't get me wrong, I love to hear opinions and dont mind the pausing at all, but I can understand why.
      The why is that one as an individual only gets 1 time in his life to experience everything. No other time will be like that first time. The closest thing we have to do that, is to watch another person react to it for the first time. It's like when you LOVE a song and you show it to someone and keep looking over your shoulder to see if he reacts in the way you expect.
      Thats why.
      Great reaction by the way. I had a christian friend who knew nothing about TOP and I showed her this song, to see what she made out of it, because I actually couldnt understand it very well. Im not christian at all. And she had the same interpretation as you. Very nice, keep coming the TOP songs.

    I like to see Self Titled as a story of how a faithful boy loses hope and ends his life. If you put the pieces together, you can clearly see, through the songs he loses hope, his friends try to help him and at last he commits suicide.

    I think the 3 men could also be 3 paramedics driving him to the hospital after he fell comatose from an attempted s-word. And the place "that leads to the morning sun where the blood will be washed away and all you did will be undone" could also be a hospital where they try to heal his wounds or put him on a blood transfusion. And the casket opening could be him exiting the coma.

    Totally with you on this one, you know I’m not religious but there’s no other interpretation here. This album was way more openly about his battles with beliefs, a few songs can be interpreted differently at a push but it’s obvious most of the time.
    As to pausing etc, I prefer your old way, hearing your thoughts as you go. It’s a reaction channel, I watch to see your thoughts & see how they match mine or can improve mine or to just get a different perspective. As long as you go back a second when you do pause it’s fine, the naysayers are wrong 😑😆😜

    Yes, i agree with what you thought (and so therefore an excellent interpretation 🙂😉! ha ha lol) I'm not Christian but am familiar with it and we know Tyler's faith, so i think it's fair to think that's what he was talking about. I love this song (and all of the others). I am a failed Baptist preacher (ha!). I got one if my degrees in Bible/Theology. I think you pretty much nailed it here. Although I think the cars and box are still metaphors for the paths he is on. We are all driving towards death. Some people are YOLOing through lives of no meaning or direction. Tyler wants his life to mean something, the markings on his body (cross) to mean more than vain repetitious prayers. He’s like a rabbit running from that dog of death scratching at that box trying to get out in this life. I like your idea of the passenger being the one that presented the gospel (map) to a different destination. I’m gonna think about that for awhile, because it was at that point his life went from traveling in a box in. Hearse to a taxi cab where he could sit freely with the trinity through life. Then God gives the comfort of assurance that though things get dark and the flesh will die away and all this stuff he knows will fade at some point, God will carry him home.

    Dude you should react to kitchen sink that's another underrated banger. Btw you shouldn't worry about over pausing, I love listening to what you have to say of certain lines and it makes it more interesting if you pause it. Just pause if you want don't worry, at least for me, I don't care if you pause it.

  • @lic.8544
    @lic.8544 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I took this to mean that he committed suicide, but he left us the song to carry on. The ride was to hell, until the hearse ran out of gas, then the trinity is driving him in his casket in the taxi cab towards heaven, the light, the sun, where his soul is washed clean & he can go home...to heaven.

    I love your interpretation. I believe it is Jesus talking to and about him. In a hurst, when there’s a casket we assume the person is dead, but not in this case. Perhaps he hasn’t been a good Christian and they have him locked up to drive to the morning sun where a new day starts. If they can get him there, he’ll be blessed with that new day and have all of sins washed away.
    As far as the trinity. I understand why you were questioning it. I think there was only the driver and passenger in the hurst. Then once they are in the cab, it’s those two and the taxi driver.
    That’s my take on it…

    Not a fan of the new reaction format. I want your unadulterated opinion as you are experiencing it. Personal thoughts & opinions are flighty & can be lost if held off to the end. What you did was more of a lyric breakdown or review, and while that is a major part of why I watch every TOP reaction video I can find, just having it all summarized at the end feels kind of cheap. Watching people reacting(with pausing) allows me to re-live my first time listening to their songs. That format is why I subscribed to your channel. Do what you want, but if you look at some of the best TOP reaction videos, you'll see that they don't just wait to summarize all their thoughts at the end. You need to decide if you want to be a reaction channel that can come with frequent pauses or do you want to be a breakdown/review channel without the pausing. Channel name says reacts, so why not just react?

    • @SuffiReax
      @SuffiReax  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Tommy, thank you for your input!
      I appreciate the thoughts and I totally agree with you. A big part of growing this channel has been experimenting with all kinds of different methods and so this was another experiment of sorts and once everyone has seen both ways I let my viewers tell me which they preferred most. I value your opinions and want you to enjoy the video as much as possible, so now that I know most everyone prefers the pauses in between, I will revert back to my original format. Thank you for watching and subscribing! Take care
