I’m a beginner and feel a little foolish because although some items used are obvious a part of me wishes there could be on-screen notes of which material you’re using in the moment especially the wood that looks similar. Something like “using spruce plank here” etc. I know the blocks are there at the start but just an idea if you’re ever up for minor editing / new videos. These are already so helpful for anyone not so creative such as myself. I know what I want to make but just never know how to make things look right. Going to keep using these guides and experiment! The roof is also looking confusing like the instructions at start with the glass 7x11 or whatever but nothing for the more complex roofing layers.

You can make the blocks in different shapes with a crafting table (You can make a crafting table with 4 wood planks)
