That's a really nice motorhome for 1970! I started driving in '72 and by '75 I was crossing the country using a Toyota station wagon as a camper! It was big enough for me to stretch out end to end with my camping gear on the other side!
I tend to agree that this is not a 'behemoth' like most motor homes, but it is an imposing sight; especially from the front. I imagine that if I saw THAT front end in my rearview mirror while driving down the highway, the "Mammoth Car's Theme" from the classic "Speed Racer" cartoon would be my earworm for the next few days . . . .
This is the first I'm hearing about the Star Streak RV. It's too bad these incredible machines weren't mass-produced, as they were designed and built by an enthusiast who actually knew what he was doing. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that there are no diecasts, much less model kits, of this automotive masterpiece! Thanks for doing the research and sharing your findings with us! 60th Like.
