- Baba Abdul Majeed recalling his memories about his ancestral village Bundala tehsil phillaur district Jalandhar Punjab. He is also narrated migration journey to Pakistan in 1947.

I belong to village Bundala and lived in pati surtiya, where this baba ji is from. In 2002 I moved to the USA with my family. We still have a house in Patti Surtiya right across the masjid. I went to the same high school but now it is called, Govt. Senior Secondary School, Bundala. Baba ji's friend Mohan las was my friend's uncle who lived right behind my house. He passed away several years ago but . We still have good numbers of Muslim families living in Patti Surtiya. Bundala is known for its diversity where people from various religious background connect with each other like families. Growing up, I remember my muslim friends would come to the Hindu temple in Patti surtiya to attend and help with all programs. We did the same thing during Eid time and would also join them for meal in the masjid. No one talks about being Hindu, Muslim, or Sikh in Bundala, we were always taught by our families that we are all one and my parents taught me to bow my head down to all religious places whether it's a Masjid, Mandir, or Gurdwara. My Late Grandfather's name is Dev Raj. He passed away 33-34 years ago but baba ji perhaps knows him. I sincerely enjoyed Baba ji's interview. I hope he can come visit his village one day.

Well done for preserving the real history of the Partition of 1947. Mostly Punjabis suffered a lot of pain and went through trauma in their whole lives. These senior citizens who saw United Punjab, trauma of partition are the last individuals. Please strive to preserve this living history as soon as possible, the time is running out very fastly.

I am also from Bundala my family living in Bundala since last 200 years we were the biggest cloth seller in our village and near villages our shop was in Patti surtia where Babaji lives earlier. My grand father knows him.

Baba ji Salam. Hindu muslims lived happily together for centuries. Even at time of partition there was hardly enemity. Same is the story of Hindus who migrated from area now Pakistan. Some people were provoked to loot n kill people of other community to force them to migrate. Involvement of police cannot be ruled out. Very sad. Even today we have not learnt any lesson.
