I'm shocked to see all those paint issues! Mine turned out fine and had no breaking in the webbing on either character. Also, for Spidey's shoulders, I threw on some Traxxas oil, and that fixed the issue, but the bottom line is that it shouldn't be like that out of the box. Great video, though; very insightful!

You never forget your first, but to provide some comfort, these Spider Man is a very popular character so he'll most likely get another new figure by Hasbro soon!
When this anniversary line came out all of them had gummy joints it was just this specific body mold that had poor arms and with the combined soft plastic made the issues stick out more
This is exactly why I think Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man's body is superior to the Renew your vows buck. It's just a better Spider-Man of you are ok with a slightly shorter Spidy, who I am because I grew up with Ultimate Spider-Man. Also the articulation and quality control has just been so much better, especially if you get the Retro Card version of Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man because you can actually look at the figure and make sure nothing looks wrong. I just hate how there is no nose on the Spider-man figure. Normally Spidey has like a circular shape on the middle of his face to indicate where the nose area is, but this one doesn't have that, and once you notice it, you can't unsee it, it looks like he is suffocating with that mask!
Yup mine had all those flaws i got him from target almost 2 years ago when this came out my spidey had these weird white spots on him and gummy arms and i noticed on some other figures using this mold (( not dp or dd tho)) most of them have gummy arms and some dont and its really weird

hi geek effect, i love your vids, great review...... i understand your disappointment towards the figures but these are really good ones. Atleast my copy had all of it clean with paint job and articulation, but we should be more vocal toward hasbro with the qc issues for them to work on it

Well my first "heavy" QC issue was with NECA's Tall Thug from TMNT. His boot came clean during filming for a collab review last year.
in my opinion, that retro cel shaded Spidey is the best spidey body we have but i still haven’t got a RYV body yet
