When you were talking about not having time to be depressed, I agree. I think that the dopamine that we are missing and searching for is missing because we aren't doing enough productive things that make us feel accomplished and proud. We have too much other types of stimuli and not enough hands on productivity.

Steph you are the sister/daughter/friend we all need! So glad to have ya through the YT streets! TY to your hunny and kiddos for sharing ya with us lol
I love your videos. I love to cook. At 52 I have forgotten how much I love making bread. With grown children i miss the cooking for a big group. Now I am feeding coworkers. Thank you so much for reminding me how rewarding making food and for me sharing food made with love with others.
I LOVE to watch you cook…..where did you learn? You just throw stuff together so naturally….. I’m 74 and kinda cook like that too….but it took me years to learn to do that….you’re young and already make so many great things!!!! I hope as your kids get older you’ll teach them too💕💕💕 They will remember their mom always in the kitchen making delicious things😋😋😋
My kids are grown, ages 46, 44, and 37, and I have two grandsons, but I remember the postpartum seasons. I love your perspective! I tried to do all natural cooking, and my kids had some allergies to food additives, so I canned most things, too, I had chickens and fresh eggs, and I bought raw milk. I have happy memories! I finished college when the youngest was in high school and became a teacher. I’m retired now and am hoping to start canning again.

Thank you for sharing! I have been making pasta since 12 years old. My father is an immigrant from Sicily. He felt bad for me when my hands got bruised by using a wooden rolling pin so he bought me a marble rolling pin for my 13th birthday during one of his trips to Italy. Made all the difference. That rolling pen is a cherished heirloom now that I am in my 50s. But in my 20’s I got the same pasta machine that you have and it was a game changer. Haven’t hand rolled since.
Love seeing your little girl in her veil. My 5 year old gets so proud to wear hers. We also have to drive about into the next city over for our mass, absolutely worth it. Love seeing your videos. Thanks for sharing your journey

I really do think so! “They” say it takes like 7 years to become an expert at something. Well I don’t know if anyone can ever truly be an expert mom, we all make mistakes. @@iylalacoste3463 you can absolutely do this! What helped me about two years ago was writing a list of things I could learn while kids were under foot. Things like baking bread, bone broth, maintaining what you currently have going more efficiently. All Catholics are meant to abstain from meat on every Friday throughout the year. There is a common misunderstanding that we no longer have to observe Fridays as a day of penance. Yes, we’re able to do an act of charity instead but if you look closely at church history and when that was changed you will see that time and time again we are strongly encouraged to abstain from meat every Friday. It’s a somewhat controversial topic among Catholics but I will say the past 3 years that we’ve observed this, it’s stretched and increased our faith immensely! It’s better for us than trying to come up with an act of charity each week, something we can put into our weekly routine. As a meat loving family, it’s not easy though so it’s truly a sacrifice we make in remembrance of what our Lord did for us! ❤
Thank you for sharing, while it is strongly encouraged to do penance or abstain from meat on Fridays, it is not a legal obligation in the U.S. Since it is a matter of conviction rather than legal obligation, a married woman does well to ask her husband what the standard for the family will be 😊
My husband is the same with soup! My soups are basically a soggy casserole at this point. 😂 Ooh! Your point on women's mental health as related to the level of ease in her life! 🔥 It reminds me of the Valley of the Dolls Era. Once we saw the manual work get eased by machines, mental instabilities started to become more common. I know that if my brain is bored, it will spiral. I have to be moving, working, praying or else it's anxiety roulette for me.
I'm so glad you said your husband isn't a soup guy. Mine is the same way he views it as an appetizer that should be served with a main meaty dish. I could eat soup all year! You're so inspiring thank you for your videos!
You are so right about keeping yourself busy to ward off anxiety like feelings. Last week we were almost re-ended by a moron thinking the left turning lane was the left fast lane. Through the grace of God, he swerved at the last second. I happened to look in the rear view mirror as that unfolded. Then as he passed us, I look at my precious children sitting there, thankfully unharmed and unaware of what could have happened. After we got home, I had to continue to make dinner. Funny enough, I was rolling out pasta too. I did have waves of thoughts of how horrible that night could have been. But keeping myself busy and forcing myself to continue to move made a noticeable difference. It's still very upsetting and stressful to think about. But I can tell it didn't fully latch on, and debilitate me. Praise God for his protection. Praise God my babies are safe.
Those moments are truly terrifying!! But like you said, it’s best just to thank God for sparing us another day and move on, as hard as that is sometimes!
@@HopewellHeights yes, I have read 1Cor as well! I absolutely love it, but there are so many translations of whether it's a head covering or just hair, lol. I actually purchased some beautiful doillies to wear as head coverings but can't seem to get in the habit! Your coverings are beautiful! Thank you!

Since it is a matter of conviction rather than legal obligation, a married woman does well to ask her husband what the standard for the family will be 😊
@@HopewellHeights yes! It’s an exhortation not a legal obligation. For those that seek Christian perfection.
Adjusting to teen and over 5 eating is so hard .. I thought one pizza with salad yesterday was enough 😂
Do you happen to know this size of that smaller blue dutch oven pot you are using? I love it!
2 quart I believe!
My husband is the same with soup! My soups are basically a soggy casserole at this point. 😂
Ooh!
Where do I get your black dress from Sunday?? It looks SOOO comfy
It is! My mom gave it to me so I’m not sure, I wear it as a night gown 👵🏼
Where is that cream colored sweater from? I saw it in your last video too and it’s so cute!
ASOS but it’s a few years old!
Where did you get your pretty dresses? Hard to find ones like that with thick straps.
I'm so glad you said your husband isn't a soup guy. Mine is the same way he views it as an appetizer that should be served with a main meaty dish. I could eat soup all year!
You're so inspiring thank you for your videos!
I think it has to be a common guy thing!
Your dresses are so darling! Any chance they’re handmade and you have the pattern numbers?
How do you store your sweet potatoes please help.
What kind of plastic wrap are you using? Never seen that kind…
❤
Senabon😫😋
Whoa, wait. Do you guys go to a tlm? I knew you were christian but I wasnt sure if it was Catholic so I'm very excited if this is the case!!
We do!
Looking for the whey caramel video.
🫶🏻🤎🍂
Where did you say you got that cheese you put on top? Is it a local place? My husband's eyes popped out like a cartoon character when he saw it 😂
You are so right about keeping yourself busy to ward off anxiety like feelings.
I thought her husband's name was Luke?
What religion or denomination are you to wear the head coverings to church? Those are absolutely gorgeous and I've never seen those before! ❤
We are Catholic now, but I starting wearing one when I was a Protestant as well after studying 1 Corinthians 😊
As women, our hair is our covering, you must rightly divide the Word to know that though.
Thank you!
@@A-G5518 yes, that's a debate that many people have, whether it's just hair or an actual covering. I still am unsure but regardless, we have to follow what we believe. 😁
@@BootsandBountyHomestead oh yes it can be a hot topic for sure! Everyone has an opinion. I’m pretty neutral so I just went with the historical interpretation
Who cook weak days ? Me
share the milk with a lady with kids from church and the kids can play together . Problem solvedfor you and those wishing for a cow.
