- Understanding screw in shotgun chokes, just the basics. All shotguns are patterned at 40 yards with the exception of the .410 bore which I believe is patterned at 25 yards but the same percentages apply.

You know what I like... just plain talk and an example that keeps it simple yet is very effective. I dont need a scientific or engineering report on a choke tube... GREAT VIDEO!

The garden hose was one of the best and simplest explanations of a choke I've seen.
I've tried to explain choke tubes to ppl and had difficulty.
If I knew it was as easy as taking them to a garden hose, it would've been so much easier.

I just bought my first shotgun and this is by far the best explanation out of the videos I’ve watched for chokes.
This was super helpful. I've been waist deep in the world of handguns for a while now and just bought my first AR style shotgun. It's a slightly different kind of monster so basic simple videos like this are very informative and appreciated.
Man, for me, using the hose was the best way anyone has described what choke tubes do. I think I was just over complcating the concept...thank you!!!

My little brother and I have patterned thousands of rounds of buckshot and small shot over the years, every thing you said is correct and true. Every barrel and choke combination is different, do not assume anything until you shoot it on paper first. Thanks for all you do.

Def no goof balling lol, awsome demonstration, new to shotguns and i dont think anyone would have thought to use the hose as an example, chokes then made a whole lot more sence, and the different ammo explaination awsome as well.
