Hi Anton. As a man of a more mature vintage like myself, I would recommend the new bow classic to complete your collection. I have been using an X5 for many years but succumbed and bought the power pack recently. I thought I would prefer the steel bow however the bow classic with the lighter springs in, is so smooth and a pleasure to use. I still at the moment use my X5 for lower body though, as I feel the straps are better to stand on. All the best to you.

And apparently a fitness buff. Do you do it in part also to have maximum lung capacity? I had to stop working out because of physical problems and I can now can start again. But it's daunting. But I do feel that I can't get as much air as I used too sustain and set power to the notes.
Would you be willing to share your list of workouts with us? I'm a Bullworker novice--it's been collecting dust--but I want to give it another shot and get into a routine with it. Seeing what's actually worked for someone else would help!

I don't have the MXL 990, but listening to reviews, it sounds a little shrill to me. If you want hype in the highs, it may work for you, but I would go for the Rode.

I'm interested in the size of the steel bow but at my age of 71yr it's a bit expensive for me I stopped going to the gym a year ago
If you are concerned about cost consider an isobow. $20 , it’s an bullworker product

So do different models of Bullworker have different tension levels?
It apperars the earlier one did, and I didn't know that. The current ones have interchangeable springs.
