So in general then a CCD produces a “cleaner” image than a CMOS which is easier to post process, I have a 460ex colour and an Atik One 6.0 mono which I'm very happy with. CMOS cameras tend to have higher resolution but are they that much more sensitive to make it worth me changing?
Hello, we still consider CCD as the way to go due to the cleaner image, easier calibration, and optimal pixel sizes for astro imaging. Both the 460EX and One 6.0 are exceptional cameras so no need to change at the moment.

So each time, one has to reshoot the bias frames for CMOS if they've changed the gain, right?
The CCD technology is dead - deal with this or your company will follow it.
