Very humorous and very honest. I know that with my own character that it is only a matter of time before I do something stupid by letting myself get distracted in some way. Whilst this isn't advice for anyone, I abide by three simple rules. If I'm in the middle of my checks (departure or arrival) and am disturbed mid-way through by someone or something, I start again from the beginning. Second is that I take a leaf out of the aviation world and the Tokyo subway train drivers and go through my checks speaking out loud and pointing at what I'm checking. The last is that anytime I stop en route, I do a walk around and check doors, windows are closed and the jockey wheel is firmly on. Since my car flashes its hazards when I lock and switches the lights on when I unlock (regardless of time of day or weather), I take advantage of this and use my fob to unlock from the rear of the caravan and see if the lights turn on to check they are still working. I always do a two person light check when connecting caravan or trailer of course. If alone and safe to do so, I put my phone on the ground to record video of the lights as I check them.

Brilliant Rob!😂 well we should all confess I think so here goes with just a few of our gems! Forgot to close drain valve so water drained straight back out. Tried to leave site with motor mover still engaged. Got home and realised we hadn't emptied toilet, twice! Drove home with side window open. To name but a few. The joys of caravaning!😂

If you’re getting splashback opening the blade then your pressure releases valve in your cassette isn’t working as it should be
