That looked a raw day for fishing Vincent. Nothing worse than when the wind kicks in full pelt! Although we're into May it still needs to warm up. I'm at the top of Scotland in a few weeks Salmon fishing and it always catches me out there. I was shivering in the water last year as I was dressed for summer! I'm sure you'll be catching in no time. We're desperate for rain over here. The river is a trickle and there's not much doing. I've just been busy doing the house and trying to get it finished. Then I can hopefully get some serious fishing done! I've never seen a breakfast polished off so quickly Vincent. You forgot to chew! P.S Never knock a fish finger. Food of the gods!

A tin of herring filltes in tomato sauce does me always very well in situations like that, Vincent. And you don't have to bother with perfect lemons or stuff like that. Just a slice of toast does fine.

Soon you'll be due a few nice trout!! And a few drams! I was wondering how long a leader do you use for the lakes? I don't fish too long a leader and wonder should I use a longer one!
When I'm up in the mountains lakes in the boat on my own i fish a 22 foot leader is there any need for that? It gives me confidence. That's what matters having confidence. If the leader was an inch long you wouldn't catch a fish, so it dose make a difference with a longer leader. Hope that answers your question. Cheers.

Weather for tomorrow is good on currane. I easly start diet, less Salt and no sugar, no big pain! That helped me to loose 8 kg in 3 months, maybe it ll help you
Hi my waders are the cheapest you can buy. I usually get two season out of them some years 3 season. Got them in Murrys fishing tackle shop in Patrick's Street in cork city they are called behr angelsport. Cheap about 40 €
