I THINK OF JANE POWELL EVERY TIME I HEAR THIS SONG...BUT THIS LADY HAS A FINE VOICE...JANIE WILL BE 90 NEXT APRIL,,,HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANE..I LOVE YOU....
The sad part of this story is that wonderful Celine is now very incapacitated with stiff man’s syndrome. Her dedication to everything was so Royal and Loyal. I believe our bodies immune system can only be pushed so far. Prayers for her and her boys.
That pause at the start came off as a faux pas! The presentation is better than the voice, which tends to hurt one's ears! Kind of like strident Streisand!
I guess she can't walk and sing at the same time! Nice though, for a soprano, though a b it strident. Id rather hear Peggy Lee and Jack Jones sing it but to each their own! All are nice.
My GOD her voice was so beautiful. I feel so blessed to live in a time when we have the technology that allows us to record such a performance.
She had a truly gorgeous voice. Rebecca Luker, RIP.
one of the best, most intelligent, most lustrous versions of this wonderful song, ever. heavenly.
Magnificent...RIP
Wow, what talent
What a gorgeous warm voice.
The most beautiful and talented Broadway star! The best!
Rebecca has a beautiful voice!!!
RIP to a beautiful lady and singer.

Rebecca’s voice still thrills and haunts me. What tragic void she left behind.

I just saw her in Death Takes a Holiday....exquisite as always!
wonderful voice...but only 1 Jane Powell in her day!!!
Rebecca is just beautiful to listen to.
REBECCA LUKER (1961 - 2020)
The conductor in the wonderful Paul Gemignani
Harry Connick Jrs version in the revised ON A CLEAR DAY is glorious
So well done, Rebecca Luker. Riveting ballad by Burton Lane, composer.
Funny, I thought she was singing not humming
Is it really Burton Lane's music? It is gorgeous! A remarkable achievement for a legend who has been around the block. Wonderful!
I like her.
This is a great song from Royal Wedding". This lady indeed has a beautiful voice, but I prefer Jane Powell's version.
Al Yerbur
Yes, Jane Powell's version is sublime - just listened to it again -
And a little known lyric writer named Alan Jay Lerner.
Jane Powell over-rated, this woman far exceeds her, but all the matter of taste. Too Late Now written by Burton Lane for Royal Wedding movie in '51.
That pause at the start came off as a faux pas! The presentation is better than the voice, which tends to hurt one's ears! Kind of like strident Streisand!
Get some help.
I pity your ears, for mine she was perfection.
