Fresno State won’t lose many games this year!!! They have some serious studs on that squad!!! Just over matched by 5 Star athletes of USC!
They might now the their starting QB is out with a leg injury. But full healthy they’re potentially a double digit win top 25 team. Shame to see Haener carted off, he was playing well.
How many 5 stars does USC even have? If I had to guess, an educated guess from following recruiting pretty well, I’d say 4 or 5? Thats including the kids the ‘ole Sooners coach brought. Mario, Caleb, D.Jackson, Korey F.,… 🤔

As a USC fan, I have tons of respect for Fresno State. Probably the second best team in California. If Haener stays in the game, score would have been like 42-31. Anyway, hope Haener heals up soon

Love it. And I love how smart he is about avoiding hits. Sliding, getting outta bounds, etc. Only concern I have is WHEN he does get hit, can he take it. He looks like kind of a big, tough dude, so maybe, but still… won’t know until it happens. Matter if when, not if.

Well, Addison and Mario for sure. Addison looks like a for sure first rounder. Obviously the QB will be a 1st rounder as well. The o-line looks good sometimes but then I’ll Fresno St. only send 3 and get the sack. Definitely gonna take Riley a few years to make a playoff caliber team. USC should prob win a Pac-12 title or two ‘till then.

Hope they keep it up. Going out and getting Riley was such a power move. I'll be honest I don't think they have what it takes to win it all right now but they're on a good path. Should be able to win the pac12 and get in play offs.

He will never have a good defense as long as Grinch stays, and his offense is full of powerful players, but has the most basic play calling I've ever seen. He can't coach, he only takes high star strong players, does a bunch of screen and slot passes to wide open recievers that can break tackles and gain hella yards against tier 2 defenses. Those poor kids are going to be way under prepared for the NFL.

SC gotta clean up that rush defense, Caleb sometimes keeps the ball to long and the O-Line kind of sloppy on some key blocks but overall good win and love the energy that this team brings and the Culture that has been changed compared to last season. Fight On ✌️❤️💛

@@___m7425 yeah I watched it, redzone is inside the 20 Yardline. They had really good redzone defense. They held them to a field goal, USC held them to a missid field goal, and in 4th and goal usc stopped them.

If Fresno State had more than two decent defensive players and any sort of capable offensive line, and a quality offensive coordinator, and more speed at the corners, and didn't lose their star QB, studly FS, and overhyped LT to injury, they might have kept this close.

USC’s D-lineman look very small! No wonder they couldn’t stop the run all game! There pass rush isn’t that bad but SC definitely needs to start recruiting some big boys up front!
Agreed. They need a big time plug in the middle, and their pass rushers are good, not great. I've been following recruiting a little bit though, and a lot of big time defensive kids are committing. They probably know they'll get playing time on an already great team.

I agree theyre kinda on the smaller side. But D line is not about "big or size". Its a combination of size, strength and speed. They need that strength to overpower the OT and quick to chase down the QB, RBs and receivers too. Most D line guys are arounf 6-3 290. Thats why you rarely see a 6'6 330 DT. There's a reason why most DT are below 300 lbs
What we need is a guy like Sedrick Ellis. That would take this team over the top

USC could achieve a lot this year. I love the offense, and the defense is the definition of “bend don’t break” through playing well in the RedZone and getting turnovers. Reminds me of Oregon in 2014 with Mariota
There’s no if and when team is 100% healthy, there are impactful injuries on many teams throughout the season, you have to win with all sinks thrown at you those are the best teams

Agreed! Coaching staff needs to play Raesjon Davis more instead of Ralen Goforth who is slow and never picks the right gaps when it comes to run plays. Gentry is good, Lee is okay. Corners are average at best. And idc what anyone says Solomon Byrd deserves to start over Foreman and Height at this point.

Fresno state’s offensive line got rape all night by usc. Fresno state defense also got murder by USC. Now, Haner’s nfl hope is out the window. Overall fresno states performance after three games: Solid F. What’s next for Tedford, fire Kirby, and defense coordinator bc they have not done anything to improve Fresno State football since deboer left. Look at Washington 3-0. Fresno lost all the coaching assistants and got doormat coach assistants. It’s going to be a long season for my dogs.

@@louieo.blevinsmusic4197 the guys are big enough. USC had good recruiting on defense too. The strategies are just weak because grinch sucks, and they don't practice tackling. USC fans are trying to rub it in Oklahoma's face that they landed a glorified OC playing Head Coach and his spineless staff. Smart OU fans know Riley sucks at building young players from the bottom, he can only conduct players who are already developed through someone else. That's why he tries to land top tier high school players and good players from other colleges. It's the only way for him to win up until getting humiliated in the playoffs. I'm already much more satisfied with Venables. He actually does more with less and makes those boys work towards getting better. He hasn't had too much time with OU and doesn't have all the high star players, and the teams defense is still better than it has been in a long time, and that tier 2 offense is still scoring a lot of points. It's nice to see balance in teams.

Looked pitiful against a junior college caliber team. USC is way over-hyped. They might as well play a bunch of high school teams.......USC schedule is about as weak as they come. If they ever get to a game with a proper opponent, they are going to get smashed! Would love to see them go to Norman. :)
