You are welcome. The first thing is to learn the major and minor chords... in simplest form they are triads (3 notes played together).... you can watch my video "Learning Piano - Keyboard chords" and the chord dictionary included with the keyboard will show you all the others. the next thing is to pick out simple melodies on the keys like "Mary had a little lamb" or other song you can think of. Most people have some music inside them "playing" around with your keyboard will bring it out of you

Thanks for the reviews. They helped me make the decision to order the YPT-230 today as a birthday present to myself. I can't wait 'til it gets here on Friday! I'm an absolute beginner to any kind of instrument and no nothing of music theory. Do you have any suggestions for where I should start? It seems a bit overwhelming.
