Ok, I'm boutta get super sentimental and personal- I get anxiety attacks. Constantly. Everyone I know has seen me break down crying - friends, acquaintances, roomates, classmates, professors, my fucking landlord, strangers - it's humiliating. I can't stop myself, and what people don't understand is it rips away my dignity. I feel exposed, forced to be vulnerable infront of everyone, without my "consent" if that makes any sense. I feel like I can never gain back my dignity in their eyes. So it just...hit different to see it from the other side. Even if this is just a random pretend audio, seeing someone else get so flustered they start hyperventilating is just...I dunno, its heartbreakingly relatable. And kind of an eye opener, that I , truly didn't think differently about this character just because they had an anxiety attack....so maybe other people don't think less of me either. So yeah, I came for a cute audio and instead I got hit in the face with an emotional breakthrough, thanks a lot Whispurr, have fun living rent free in my head for a week

I just gotta say I relate. I grew up being told I was overly sensitive and dramatic and was told to get over it (I also was heavily bullied and literally harassed through school). I had people ask me what was wrong with me. It really messed me up. Turns out I have several severe anxiety disorders + other things too (turns out I was being abused too and it resulted in me feeling extremely horrible expressing any kind of negative emotions even when I’m completely alone) Luckily while I’m still not in the best place, I have been getting help and I’m able to cope with my anxiety much better (I used to not even be able to text my best friend. I wouldn’t have been able to comment here either) and I have actually good friends who understand my struggles and support me. I even landed a boyfriend somehow and he’s my best friend (yeah my stupid gay ass fell for my best friend but somehow he fell for me too so it worked out)
I kinda relate, I just usually think about something for too long and boom imm hyperventilating. it does feel weird, but I hope you have people to help and comfort you through it
I have the same issue, only recently I found that they weren't anxiety attacks, they were autistic meltdowns. and that tbh changed my life for the better. I can now manage those attacks, safely, and give myself the grace I needed. I'm saying this not to diagnose you, but because I relate, and so many of us go undiagnosed because we don't fit the stereotype. I'd hate it if someone else was suffering through being undiagnosed and masking so I'm writing this with the hope that it helps you or anyone reading it.
