Second time through it occurred to me that maybe Listener is walking in the rough part of town to avoid people who might know she's from an immigrant family and accuse her of being a spy. Compared to jail, interrogation, trials, press coverage, suspicion even if acquitted and the blowback on everyone connected to her along with losing her job and being unable to find decent paying work elsewhere....a shortcut through a seedy part of town might seem like the better option. But I'm probably reading way too much into it. This is by far my favorite Whispurr audio to date.

I listened to this last night after it first went up but couldn't put into words how much I adored this. I've always been drawn to stuff either from the 30s/40s or set in the 30s/40s. Not sure why, just always have been. Add in what feels like it's a NYC accent and you have my heart. There's a lot of asmr videos that I've loved and enjoyed but this one is by far my favorite. I know I'm gonna end up listening to this one again every night for probably at least the next week. Fantastic job on the script, the atmosphere, the sound effects, just everything. It's beyond perfect, very comforting and enjoyable. ❤

just binged your last few videos, and they are absolutely amazing! your storytelling skills, acting, and the ASMR tingles go so well together. there isn't a moment that feels stale or takes from the immersion, and i always end up sleepy and comfy by the end.

I listened to this last night after it first went up but couldn't put into words how much I adored this. I've always been drawn to stuff either from the 30s/40s or set in the 30s/40s. Not sure why, just always have been. Add in what feels like it's a NYC accent and you have my heart. There's a lot of asmr videos that I've loved and enjoyed but this one is by far my favorite. I know I'm gonna end up listening to this one again every night for probably at least the next week. Fantastic job on the script, the atmosphere, the sound effects, just everything. It's beyond perfect, very comforting and enjoyable. ❤
