Jump into this action roguelite installment in the Prince of Persia series as you flow between death-defying platforming and acrobatic combat as the Prince himself. Battle through the capital city again and again with one goal - find a way to save Persia from a Hun invasion wielding dark magic.

#RoguePrinceofPersia - เกม
The fact that nobody is talking about how incredible the music is here is a crime
was about to write exactly that *furious keyboard tapping noise "prince of persia rogue ost"*
Right?! I'm constantly bobbing my head watching this! It's fire!
The sounds of pure joy when playing actually sold this to me. Will definitively get it in the future.
43:37 Who are you? General Berude. "SANDSTORM!" lol '99 reference
Speaking of PoP and Metroidvanias, definitely recommend Lost Crown. Was way more fun than I anticipated.
Man, this really has a lot of the attitude of the original Prince of Persia that was impossible to beat as a kid on NES... I wonder if that original side scrolling puzzle game was some of the inspiration for Dead Cells to begin with?
Anyway, it looks like they really focused on making it feel good first, which is so wise of them as a dev team. All the little upgrades, weapons, enemies, art, etc can be polished for eternity, but the basic combat and traversal has to be immaculate in a game like this. Looking forward to this.
I think that it was mentioned in the dev log that Pop was an inspiration. They got the license from Ubisoft after some casual meetup at a Con where they were gushing about Pop. They put a bunch of references like the fountain being the heal.
I remember the Prince of Persia game from the flip flop phones in the early 2000's how time flies
I remember something on my first phone a sagem i don't know what was the name of the game though
imagine remembering prince of persia as the first game you ever played on a dos pc.
The Piggy Pink Prince of Persia
€dit: I'll get the game eventually, but gonna buy the OST right away.... or rather if and when it's released.
please retro make a series of this game, always love your vibes
I'm glad they've been going to back to at least give an homage to Classic POP with Lost Crown and this.
I'm a console pleb so it'll be a bit before i actually play but since this is being published by Ubisoft hopefully it will come to market faster. Looks fantastic
What a treat, been waiting for this one as well. Looks really cool!
That's wild. Indie to official Prince of Persia sequel.
Maybe the kick would work on those rocks.
I was about to comment that you can probably kick the boulder when you figured it out :D
Man i remember cosplaying as prince of Persia as a kid for a class skit
3:15 can you do it on the needles earlier, deadcells had some weird achievements
Persian music wow
This game shows much promise
I'm upset you didn't try KICKING the boulders into the boss... The other shield breaking mechanic...
watch the video
So how long before Ubisoft has Assassin's Creed DLC added to this?
What song at 43:36?
all the songs here are the game's OST. you might have luck searching there
@destroything Lol, I was trying to make a joke because anytime someone asked "what song at [timestamp]" they were told "Darude - Sandstorm"
character design looks more like the fresh prince of persia
Persia is an old name for Iran so it makes sense that the prince of Persia doesn't look white.
@@Kraus- i know, what i said was more a reference to how clean/lined up the beard looks in the art
I don't know if this is a problem with the video or the game itself, but the camera movement feels very choppy. Like it's moving in little bursts instead of smoothly. It's extremely awkward to watch, and almost nauseating.
Looks fine to me
i was thinking the same thing, the panning seems super stuttery, not sure if the game plays like that or not.
@@Sortvind The game feels nice to play. I think that chopines comes down to the turn rate being instant and the camera always centering
@@sibanbgd100 - Yeah, that seems to be exactly what the problem is. The camera is always perfectly centered on the character, instead of slightly accelerating/deaccelerating to keep it smooth.
So it's probably perfectly fine if you're constantly looking at the character. But if you look anywhere else as they move, it looks choppy. So it's understandable if someone doesn't see it.
It’s clearly an artistic choice, for giving more kick to the prince animations. But yeah, I totally see how it can be a bit nauseating.
Bro this game is only $20??????
How is no one mentioning that it's silent? Copyright strike?
you could maybe assume if it has 22,000 views and nobody has mentioned it is silent that it is on your end lol
@@Retromation I guess so! It's working now!
The game looks fun to play but all the colors are so muted and nothing stands out and the characters look kind of ugly. I really don't like the aesthetic at all. It looks like a flash game from 15 years ago. For an 0.1 though I think it has a lot going for it.
Before Persia it was called Iran now its Iran again funny right 😂😂
should have called is Princ Of Purrsia and made the main character a cat
Day 3 of asking Retromation to play Eclipse Breaker
This game would be better if it wasn't part of a genre that drips feeds you content over a gruelling and brain-rottingly repetitive 1000 hours.
