Looks like the carbothello are pretty awesome. Maybe just get some of the light caran d ache for highlights as i use nupastel for the darks and first layers. Thanks !
You're very welcome!😁 Definitely, the carbothellos are my number 1! And I use the other brands mostly to supplement with harder and softer pencils as needed😉
I have got and use them, but more as an addition to the main brands I use. I'll definitely make a review of these too in the future😁 Do you use the cretacolors a lot?
@@TinaBaeyensArt not really because I only have 3 of them but I'm thinking of buying the biggest set so I'm looking for opinions about them. Could you compare cretacolor with carbothello?
@@agnieszka7419 I'll make sure to get the review done as soon as possible! If you mean whether they are the same as the carbothellos.. I would say no.. I feel they are a little more soft and less opaque, but really good nonetheless👌
I haven't worked with prismacolour that much but from what I remember, they are a good quality pencil. Would always prefer Polychromos by Faber-Castell though👌
@@TinaBaeyensArt thank you so much....I have see two options 1 is prismacolour and 2nd is pastel pencil ....What will be you recommend for great portrait please.....Thanks a lot
So tempting with the colours available but I have had so many that are broken on arrival (packed well from Jacksons) and that break when sharpening even with a blade as you say. I also have many that are REALLY scratchy and not usable, like more than one in ten. Disappointing especially at such a high price. The sticks are as bad or worse.
That's sad to hear, I'm sorry. They cost a lot of money indeed, so you would expect the quality to be excellent and nothing less. However I've heard more of these stories in the past, so I can totally understand why someone just wouldn't want to spend the money.
I actually don't own any of this brand! I ordered a set earlier this week. I can't believe I didn't buy them sooner. 🤦♀️🤷♀️ I must have thought they were too expensive, like you mentioned, as I was getting started. I completely forgot about them.
I'm 100% sure that you'll love them once you get to working with them! 😁 They are really soft which is perfect for layering those last highlights or your first layer for blending. Can't wait to see what you create with them😁💛
