When you have cut up your chips, soak them in water for about an hour, it takes out a lot of the starch, making your chips light and fluffy on the inside, and crisp on the outside.

I heard this about a year ago and a I haven't put a peel in the bin since lol they're fantastic.
I've got the Corsori, and found it pretty decent so far. For my chips I haven't been par boiling, but instead doing the 25 min chip programme, then cooking for another 5-10 mins.
that was the good thing about the tefal actifry, there was a slowly rotating arm in there moving the chips about non stop.
Deano, please get yourself a wooden chopping board that marble one is great for pastry but will absolutely kill your knives if you are chopping!!!
I told you this one was good chips are amazing in it and everything else ive cooked too.

I cook everything in my Corsori - haven't used the oven since last autumn. TIP - you can put some baking paper at the bottom of the basket if you want to kind of shallow-fry your chips in the oil rather than let it drip out into the bottom. I've cooked beefburgers, bacon, chicken and sausages (not all at the same time!) in with them and let the juices infuse into the chips and they come out so tasty and crispy. Also, don't rely on those presets all the time, use the button to change the temp and time and experiment. I always cook slightly longer at a lower temperature to ensure all is cooked through then blast it on high at the end to crisp everything off. I get much better results than I ever did with the oven and it costs just over half the price of the oven to run (1700w v. 3000w) which is a big help with leccy costs being what they are these days.

I've tried chips all sort of ways but the best was wash your chips then cover with boiling water for five minutes then dry them off coat them with oil then air fry and they have come out the best for me
