    I have found these type of videos extremely fascinating! How are you able to do this, if you don't mind me asking. Are you an electronics engineer? Do you learn stuff like this in university? I have always wondered how people can do these incredible modifications.

      The Wii has a lot of documentation and open source material online that allows for anyone to do a project like this fairly easily with just a bit of soldering skill.
      Doing a project like this from scratch would require a decent understanding of how computers and videogame consoles work, as well as how circuits and circuit boards work, but more than anything it requires a lot of work investigating the target console, understanding the motherboard layout, how it interacts with peripherals, etc.
      But for the Wii, everything is done for you except for putting the pieces together.

    I already own a GC collection and my only question is, Does this device use a memory card? I don't see that it does and I have games that I would love to play on the big screen and then continue them later in the PGC.

      Anyone seeing this kinda figured out my answer. Looking at his green build video description(and the very very end of this video though its brief and not detailed) it's a PCBway 3d print in the UTR-8100 option (fully transparent) and then dyed the color you want

    3 questions
    1 can it have a rempbñvable battery? (Like the xbox360 controller)
    2 can it be built out of aluminium? (No, i dont care about weight)
    3 price?

    • @birdsrule
      @birdsrule 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1. Yes
      2. No and it would be extremely difficult and expensive
      3. He says in the video that it’s around $300 to build it yourself and $1k to buy a prebuilt one

    I was thinking of also making an Ashida but I was wondering if there is a separate storage in the Ashida I can put in later or if I need to have all the files configured on one micro sd card and then put in and never be able to take it out

    • @gingerofvods
      @gingerofvods  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can get the USB out later if you need to, but it's a fair amount of work. A 256gb USB drive is more than enough for anyone's needs though, running out of storage isn't something that should worry you too much.

    • @gingerofvods
      @gingerofvods  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Games are loaded onto a USB drive through the USB-C port. Game files are created by ripping a disc on a Wii.

    I don't see the argument about making videos only to leave them unchanged as a good excuse. If you're going to go out of your way to make them, then just simply remove them if they become outdated. It's your responsibility by making them to upkeep. Just because others have not done that doesn't mean that you can't. If you can't do that then just tell people you're too lazy or busy to do it. That's just what it really boils down to.

      Rerunning the screen "auto-settings" will usually improve the border settings.
