yall talking about how 18/44 is so bad, but its 40% fg, which isnt good, but its not super bad. players score 12/30 fg or around there, but nobody say anything then. obviously 44 points on 44 shots is not efficient at all, but he scored the game winner and got the job done. that doesnt change the fact he made 18 shots against the celtics and scored basically a buzzer beater game winner. also jayson tatum shot 9/22 this game, which is the exact same percentage, just less shots.

There was a point in time that you only got 40 50 by actually taking a decent amount of shoots or you were on fire. Seeing guys shooting under 50 percent was and is normal if you play basketball in real life.

Especially when you can get hot at anytime like Dejounte Murray can and don't have alot of help on your side. Shit he won game over the 1 seed. Young is out, Murrayis the 2nd allstar. 19 of his 44 shots were 3s, but he’s the reason they won.
He didn’t shoot that poorly, just took a lot of 3s, which is out of character for him. If he’d played more like Shai; taken more middys & like 10 less 3s, he woulda shot well over 50% at like 18/34.
