I wish people would stop saying SWV had the same issue with Salt N Pepa because it’s not true. Taj & Lelee we’re fine with SnP headlining and we’re down to open for them because they respected that SnP came before them, Coko is the only one had that had a issue with it because she felt like her group members were dick riding and not advocating for SWV, coko was also gong through a divorce at the time. Coko and Taj even bumped heads on that show because she felt Coko was being difficult so how is that the same situation with Xscape???
Not to mention, Salt N Pepper were being bullies and disrespected their own group member (Spinderella) and SWV took her under their wing.
The situation is the same b/c the same way coko didn’t feel like they should have to dim their light b/c salt n pepa came out first is essentially the same thing xscape was saying why would you put your self in position to have to come up short financially b/c a group that came out first didn’t market themselves right when they initially got back together

It would be nice if the original Destiny’s Child members (Latavia and Letoya) could be part of that reunion but sadly I don’t think that will ever happen because Beyoncé is on a way different path now.
@@orangepepper7098 a reunion won’t be happening whether it’s DC3 or DC4. First off, Matthew owns the name and is still their manager. That alone is why they’ll never reunite. Secondly, LeToya and LaTavia both can’t legally use the name anymore as part of their settlement agreement from their 2002 lawsuit. Thirdly, and most importantly, Beyoncé is way too big for the group. It would be charity for her at this point. Beyoncé is Destiny’s Child’s writer, producer, and composer lol. Lastly, I don’t know why everyone begs for a DC reunion when all they do is complain.

I feel like the ladies was being shady towards Xscape. You can give SWV their props without tearing another group down. Xscape might not have it all together but SWV not perfect either. They had the same issues with Salt and Peppa when they had a show together. I love SWV but they got problems too. Why make this segment about Xscape? The show been over and everybody just now stopped talking about the drama and y’all bring it back up. No group is better than the other. I love all the girls groups. I love when black women come together and show us about unity, support and success . Hopefully the ladies can get together one day and give us a tour or concert together

Well…they always try to play as if SWV isn’t relevant. In fact their the most sampled if not the only out of Xscape and S&P. That’s when the drama started in both groups SWV played humble and then they disrespected them. It’s stuff behind the scenes that were said I’m sure but they can hold they own.
Truth be told they did not answer the very direct question Syleena asked them…what is the difference between going on tour with jodeci vs xscape?
She did tho. Lelee said the show with Xscape was meant to be interegrated with two groups coming together and not about someone headlining over anybody that’s the difference with this Jodeci situation it’s actually Jodeci’s tour which they have invited SWV to be apart of so there is no disputing who headlines.

However, I do want you to reassess whatever you watched because Xscape (mainly Kandi) threw the most shade at SWV because of their supposed relevancy in this new age…but in terms of actual music and the crowds that go to see them perform, SWV is WAAAY more relevant.

Lelee sang the second verse of "If Only You Knew" which was nominated for a Grammy. You tried it, though.
Far from the truth...She sings lead on a good 15 songs or more of their entire catalog released and unreleased. If you listen you'd know!
