That other Norwegian rider: Stake-Laengen, or if translated quickly to english "the long stick" should be a good name for this kind of channel. At almost 2 meters he fits his name well, and sometimes it is forgotten by presenters how much better the draft is behind a bigger rider. Not so convinced that Bjerg the Dane will be better. Great presentation of the UAE-team though :-) crossing fingers for dracula Gianetti's team :-) all good if the anchovy loses.
I think 2024 Tour de France UAE Team Emirates' lineup is (as we say in Italy) "too many roosters in the henhouse".
If I were Vingegaard, I would focus on my preparation and keep the confidence on my skills and my team. If UAE wanna ride aggressively, go on; I can stay on your wheels and wait for my moment.
If they can stay disciplined and remember their place it won't be a problem.
Such a powerful team may allow them to isolate Vingegaard and that will undoubtably shake his confidence.
What do you think will happen if Ayuso, Pogi and Vingegaard are in a mountain breakaway together ?

At the same time, I look back at Marie Blanque stage, last TdF edition. As soon as Kuss started to push up the pace, Adam Yates immediately got dropped. Of course, it was not the same scenario on the Joux Plane, when UAE did better.
Surely will have 3 luxury domestiques, but I agre with Vingo when he says: "at the end it's a 1 vs 1 in the clutch moments."

I think it is quite unlikely for Vingegaard to be ready for TDF considering the injuries he suffered recently are quite serious. If this is the case, I think Tadej will be the overwhelming favorite. I don't think Roglic and Evenepoele who are both also injured but much less severe will pose a serious threat to Tadej.

True! Pog is the best cyclist (overall) but TDF is tailor made for Jonas and his lungs. Pogacar can win 10 stages and he will gain seconds, Jonas will win only one stage but that one will be in high mountains with 2min. advantage. Boring but effective.
there is one week less between the giro and the tour, not more. i'd also add that its mot miraculous for pogacar to beat jonas. i just don't think it will happen this year due to pogi racing the giro. i think pogi knows that and will go for stage wins
If uae can place 3 riders in the gc contention and have them attacking in the mid mountain stages visma will be forced to chase..maybe they could isolate jonas if they wear out kuss

UAE has the most stacked team ever - btw last year too UAE had a stronger team than Visma too despite what people say. They basicly have 3 top 5 GC riders on their tdf roster. and 2 more top 10 GC potential. They could have 5 man in the top 10. Where as Visma has Sepp kuss other than vingegaard.

Where have you seen that before - with every damn winner of the tdf except a select very few that was bad at TT compared to mountains, this has always been the combo needed to win a GT. If you are bad at any of these you are extremely unlikely to win. This has nothing to do with doping.

Visma was not the stronger team has people claim. This year it will be completely clear that Jumbo visma is not the strongest team. And the winning together is only possible due to Their Anchove.

Pogacar was no competition for Jonas the last two Tour the Frances. UAE does know that he will not beat Vingegaard and chose therefore to send Pogacar to the Giro. A third year in a row without Grand Tour win would be to much....
