I don’t know who advised you to boil your seals & lids but it’s unnecessary. Just wash & let dry on clean towel. If kitchen is cold I drop seals in hot water to soften the compound on seal. I am a Sure-Jell master canner & been canning since I was 9 with my grandmother. I’m 72 & teach home preservation to young women, men, anyone who wishes to learn. I advise you to consult the Ball Blue Book Guide to Preserving page 12 where they tell you to wash seals & bands, not boil.
I put mine in the dishwasher this time, and wrapped them in saran wrap till I use them.
Is the juice you used pasturized?....it might not jell properly if pasturized.
I have one too, don't have room for 2 but 1 will do. I am going to make Concord Jelly in the next few weeks.
got the 100% juice from No Frills for $1.99 a 1 litre carton.
I love mine I'm going to be making some jelly for the local food pantry
