Great Demo Shawn. Is there enough dynamics and scope to run this amp as a single channel amp. So in effect set the amp up for a nice crunchy tone, roll back the guitar volume for cleans and hit it with a nice boost for lead?
Thanks so much for the kind words. The PT15 and the G20 are both great amps. The one major point is that the G20 does have the Two Notes embedded software with reactive load and the MT15 doesn't.
Hey Shawn great vid. That amp is awesome. I would love to see you do a review of the Hook Wizard. It’s in the same type class as the rev g20 and the pt15, but with a couple significant differences. Great playing and video. How does the low end compare to a 40/50 watt 6l6 tube amp? A lot of these lunch box amps don't seem to have the same ooomph in the lower register. Thanks.
The low end from a pair of 6V6 tubes in a low watt amp won't be quite as bold as a higher wattage 6L6 amp but that being said, I thought the G20 had a pretty robust low end.
What a great amp. Great demo as usual Shawn. Best of luck with your channel in 2020. About the cabs simulation ...if you record a track do you think someone else could tell the difference between your real cab and the ones that you save into the amp?. They both sound great.
Would be exceptionally grateful if you or any other Revv G20 guru's would detail how you: 1.) Use Torpedo Remote to create a cab, mic and tube settings 2.) How you actually Save the cabinet in Torpedo Remote 3.) How do you save your setting on the Amp. My reasons for these so called dumb questions is that there appears to be no "How to manual" from either Revv or Torpedo Remote!

Shredding... question about the digital aspects of this amp. Would the G20 work in a Wet/Dry mix with a standard clean tube amp? In other words... would the digital aspects of this amp cause latency between the amps?
I've done tracks with the IR out of the REVV combined with the dry. There is just the slightest amount of phase that you would only catch in mono. In a stereo spread, it's inaudible.
Just in case bedroom levels are something you are looking for in a 20 watt amp, I suggest staying away from the Friedman. I bought a JJ-Jr as I was looking for something high gain but also usable at home. Unfortunately, it was simply too loud to be practical as a home amp. I don't think I ever got the master volume above 1.5 or 2. Also, I know high gain amps are hissy by nature, but the Friedman seemed excessively so even with the volume down low. Perhaps it was an issue with the unit I received, but I was genuinely surprised by the high noise floor. Don't get me wrong though, the few times I cranked it to where it wanted to be it was a thing of beauty, but if you value your hearing, you won't stay there long. So, I ultimately returned the amp and after much research and many TH-cam demos I went with the G20. Same price as the Friedman and with all the gain you could ever want and 100% usable at bedroom volumes. Add the built-in load box with cab simulation and it made the Revv G20 an easy choice. As much as I wanted to love the Friedman in the end it was just too much amp. No regrets going with the Revv and it definitely hit a sweet spot with me.
I was monitoring via the KRK monitors. You are hearing the direct audio via the mics on the 2x12 cab and then towards the end of the video, I switched to the XLR out on the G20 and you heard that via direct audio.
Is there any way to control -program the volume of both channels separarely? My G20 does sound a little bit higher At clean channel. Would love to adjust that.
Maybe switch in a boost in front of the amp to equalize volume as a workaround. That channel is so clean that the extra gain should just increase volume.
