Chasing people when you're low like Tango did is not necessarily a terrible idea. It's a good psychological tactic since people will assume if they're being chased that the chaser has high health. It worked on Scar since he stopped fighting back, letting Tango catch up in damage by hitting him during the chase. I think Tango might have won that fight if he didn't take fall damage while chasing.
plus scar kept saying he was low. the bluff was good, but when scar dropped down and was going to cross the water he needed to switch to a bow and/or eat. he needed to continue, but half a heart is super precarious and scar would be slow moving through the water for a few seconds.
The problem was that Scar was eating and Tango was not eat. He may have had the psychological advantage and did not die to Scar but he definitely did not have the in-game advantage here.
if you notice, 3-5 seconds before scar begins running to the water, he eats steak while tango is at 0.5 hearts, if scar managed to run away, it would've been a stalemate and tango might've been picked off by someone else or if scar wouldnt be able to run away, scar would try to damage tango as much as possible and even one hit would've killed him
to say that tango could've won that fight through just sheer psychological warfare isnt necessarily realistic but i also cant really blame tango for doing it, when your in a pvp fight and the stakes are so high, its just difficult to concentrate on your own hp and note that these players' hands are probably shaking while they play

I’m just so confused on how tango hit so many shots with the axe and even hit a few fully charged crits and STILL didn’t manage to kill scar 😂 guess scar just had some good armor enchants, and tango messed up by not trying to get sharpness on his axe.
We don't want another life series, we NEED it, just as much as Martyn needs that sweet, sweet time.

That explosion that took out Bdubs was courtesy of an Impulse TNT minecart. I WISH I could have seen Bdub's POV on that cause for him it probably came right out of nowhere.
I hope Bdubs will upload at least his final death as well! It was a real shame not to see his POV.

I'd love for them all to give their raw footage to an editor who could make a Limited Life The Movie edit by cutting to perspectives for moments everyone was there and cutting scenes in mostly chronological order too

Jim dying first every series is just the price he pays for accurately predicting who wins. A seer must pay the price for revealing the future, even if it's through Hunger Games simulations
I'd argue that Grian's death was actually more stupid than Jimmy's : Jimmy got stuck in the minecart he was trying to push and fell above land, fair enough, but Grian just stepped off the bridge he was on, right above a very large body of water, and still managed to hit the one block that was there and died

So, BDubs actually got blown up by Impulse, not shot by Grian.
I highly recommend watching Skizz's death from either Tango or Impulse's pov, because it's even funnier watching what Skizz does. He literally turns around and bends over. 😆😆😆 it's absolutely the funniest visual.

I'm really glad Grian is innovating on the life series, and I'm sure there's plenty more fresh iterations to try. But at some point, I'd really like to see returns to previous models. Like I really want "Double Life 2" at some point because that was my favorite version. It was by far my favorite of the life series because unusual pairings got made and it was fun seeing people interact.

Fun Fact: Limited Life sessions 8 and 9 both had more deaths then the 3rd life series combined with 45 deaths each. 90 deaths in just 2 sessions. Most in the season.
The funny thing is, Grian never shot Bdubs even though he thought he did. It was actually a tnt minecart from Impulse!

I think it's safe to say that we NEEEEED another life series. It's like nothing else you can find anywhere! We got amazing players, beautiful fan art, and the story is perfection every time!
I hope mumbo returns too, he said in last life that he enjoyed it and might do another (but didn't cause he took a break).
Grian said that he’s thinking about the next game’s twist on a stream a couple weeks ago. It’ll still be several months, but we are gonna get a fifth installment! (Personally, I want to see how Doc does in this setting, but we’ll have to wait and see.)

I adored Martyn's corruption arc. From being the most loyal out of _want_ and not _obligation_ in Third Life, to being the one who betrayed everyone in the end of Limited Life. Truly inspiring. If the series does continue, I can't wait to see if he stays on this path or not.
I adore the series and want it to continue, but also, this ending felt like such a fantastic ending for the whole thing? A mirror to 3L's ending, subverted. In tarot, Grian being the Sun, Scott, the Star, Pearl, the Moon, and Martyn, the World, which symbolizes completion.
Also: Canary Curse laying unbroken, Grian and Scar's "divorce" arc (I dont know how else to explain what went through throughout the series) coming to a satisfactory end...
Although, I do wish to know more about the Listeners, and that can only happen with a new season. Aaaaaaaa I'm conflicted. I mean I'm gonna love it if it does happen but. You know.

That ending was somehow the most unexpected, yet completely expected thing ever. Like it caught me off guard, but afterward I was like yeah no that makes sense. Freaking fantastic.
Impulse always has the best camera views and editing.
Martyn and Scott were the obvious favourites in my eyes. They are the best info gatherers and survivalists in every life series I've watched, and they play smart (ie the glass roofs lol) . I was hoping the bad boys or times would win, good try tho!

don't be too hard on yourself, jim! you played well and had fun, made friends laugh even at your silly deaths. being bad at the game isn't truly a bad thing when you're such a great entertainer! i love seeing your reactions to everyone else's deaths (as well as your own) so i would be totally down to see longer video of all of them. also, what skizz said in your affirmation is definitely true-- your charisma brings these series to a new level, so don't put yourself down for your gaming skills when there's much more fun times to be had regardless of deaths :D

Well, when you put it that way... 😂 (I mean, you're not wrong, he was the reason for 3/4 of Scar's final deaths, but one was fair 1v1 PVP, one was double life so Scar died when Grian did, this was the only betrayal)

Definitely. Call it Jimmy's Life. You have 10 lives, everyone else has 3. Half the server is dedicated to protecting you, the other half's only goal is making sure you die first... again. Keep the green, yellow, and red life schemes and all the rules associated with them. You can kill with impunity though. Thoughts?

I would genuinely like a reaction to all deaths tbh. Maybe split them up one video per session? Or maybe just a compilation of some of the best ones
I have an idea for a new season. I don't have the best name for it but the current one is "Layered Life." How it works is kind of like Double Life, in the sense that it's like third life, but with one big gimmick. The one here is that there are actually three maps, all 300 by 300, with everyone spawning randomly between them. They are also next to each other, so people can talk through the borders. The only way to go between them is between three nether portals that all lead to the same nether area. This could lead to a lot of hide and seek moments, or maybe fights with arrows between two borders.
That sounds cool! I'm not sure it would work mechanically with world borders, but it could use barrier blocks I suppose. Although it would break the 3 theme, I think it would work even better with four sections - that way, each one can meet two others symmetrically/evenly and there would be a central intersection where everyone can meet at once! With three, the geometry just doesn't quite work out right and there will always be one section that borders both others while each of the other two only border one.

Ps: tell Grian that limited life worked fine for losing time, but not so much for gaining time. People had varying interpretations of whether they earned the time or not. Etho for instance didn't give himself the time if his kills got stolen by a mob, whereas others saw it as part of the combat.

I love how Jim was reacting to Scar’s death and when he heard Grian say, “It’s the ultimate betrayal.” He immediately went, “Oh gosh.” He knew what was coming. XD

Martyns betrayal was absolutely incredible, I can't believe some people are upset about it, its probably the best ending other than maybe 3rd life.

Grian didn't kill Bdubs, but he *thought* he did at the time. Impulse sent a TNT minecart and none of the people on the ground actually saw it so they thought it was Grian too. Grian corrected it in his video after.
I'd love to see another Life series! I introduced my best friend to it recently and she has binged them all and we gush about it constantly. We're hoping to do a watch party if there is a next Life series.
Judge Judy and Executioner was the smallest storyline in the whole of limited life, but it was the best.

Absolutely want another life series, I had a blast watching Limited Life from everyone's perspectives and seeing just how differently people played. One thing that I think would be interesting is more of a "Survivor" like draw where who you are aligned with is determined for you, so what you have to work with might be more out of balance.

hopefully you see this and tell Grian. I had an idea for the next life series, combining double life and limited life, idk the name but 3 soul mates have 48 hours shared, a death is -2 hours for the whole group, a kill is +1 hour for the whole group, and a boogie is -4 hours for the killed and +2 hours to the boogie. Also keep inventory on would be useful again with 3 people dying at once, and 48 hours is green, 30 is yellow, and the final 12 hours is red. Don't know if it's any good but it's just an idea I came up with, have a great day too
I adore the life series, and I thought this format for limited life was super fun! it was nice that people were essentially a little more careless - i always laugh a ton at the life series, but this one was hilarious

grian even told him to do a betrayal, not to mention: it works perfectly with his character
martyn said it himself: "it's a death match for a reason"
also, not all the redone deaths were dumb
in 3rd life, martyn killed scar. they redid it because it generally wasn't satisfying for anyone
just because you don't like that martyn won or how he ended it or even his lore doesn't mean he broke rules.
the point of ending it like that was BECAUSE it would be "unsatisfactory" to those like you, who crave to draw and write and see the same exact outcome: betrayal, apologies, sorrow, etc
the point was that it wasn't like the other three finales. there's only so many times you can repeat that outcome without it getting old, anyway
that also isn't how his character would do things, either, so

If he pearled or water bucketed, he would have gotten blown up by his own TNT. And that’s not taking into account that they forgot to apply the 2-hour Boogie kill penalty, so he should have already been out before this moment.

4:35 Bdubs actually got TNT Minecart killed from Impulse! It was just so sudden none of them realized it. Plus with the death messages not showing, they also didn’t realize.

I swear, maybe I'm wrong, but Jim pulled out a pearl witch would've been less of a risk of death, however even if Jim landed the clutch he would've been blown up by the tnt minecart. Maybe he would've ran away before it hit but it wasn't that high up soo. Maybe try not to risk anything and have your friends give you their lives. I'm sorry for ya Jimmy, but it gives great entertainment and easy predictions for every series sooooo

Jimmy Please tell grian my idea for the next Life Series, Bountyful Life: Everybody starts with a LOT of lives, I'm talking like 8 or 10, but every session one person has a bounty put on them, and if they get killed not only do they lose 2 of their lives, but the person who got the kill gets one extra, and to encourage teams to protect the target player, if that player is still not killed by the end of the session, they get one extra life
Not only did Martyn win Limited Life, but he also won the Limited Life hunger games. Just like how Pearl won Double Life hunger games and won Double Life

Martyn's turn at the end was just so perfect. Absolutely predictable yet totally in character and still somehow shocking. I loved it.

It's interesting to see in the three way ending that Martyn never actually agreed to Scott's proposal, he just seemed to stay silent. He played along and got down to less than 1 hour, but he never was actually in on the agreement. He saw an opportunity for betrayal and just took it.
