This is pure K.D. Lang, wise beyond her years, always brave and so authentic, like a velvety tonic for the human soul. A true inspiration for anyone with an open innocent heart. Not just an amazingly charismatic, handsome woman, a voice both powerfull, yet also soothing and sensuous. K.D. exudes inner wisdom, empathy, compassion, integrity & genuine love, in many ways. How lucky are we to know her?
I've followed her career over the years, so happy for her, sometimes a fan of her music, sometimes not, but I loved this particular interview. She is so honest and open but she also seemed so wired on this day. Maybe it was her youth, idk, but I loved her emotion and demeanor here. A side of her that was so different during this interview. I became a true fan after watching this. ❤❤❤
This interviewer is truly appalling. I think she's laughing at the start of the interview at the absurdity of his questions. I very much hope Mr Lazar moved into a different field of work as he is clearly ill suited for this one.
I know! Right?! I'm like, her dad left when she was young, do you really think she wants to talk about such a personal and private moment in her life? And why does he think it's okay to talk about her being gay as a topic of conversation? Do people have conversations with others about being straight? No. Dumb ass questions. I'm sure he wouldn't ask the same if it were a man he was interviewing. The disrespect. Poor K.D.
@@yvetterodriguez2550I thought the questions related to sexual orientation reflected the interviewer’s discomfort and lack of familiarity with the existence of such a thing.
What does the personal leaning of an artist have to do with the public? Why do they "have to come out"? The unhealthy curiosity, this seeking out of private details is distasteful, to put it mildly. Would any artist not necessarily mainstream be a lesser artist? Would Leonardo da Vinci, Oscar Wilde, David Hockney, Freddie Mercury (to arbitrarily name a few) have had less or more impact in their respective field if their inclination had been different? Enjoy their work, but don't pry into things that don't affect their artistic output.
@@ClevelandLiveMusic I'm a bit baffled by some newly emerging genders, but still feel that people may choose how to live. My objection is with fans who feel they are entitled to an insight into private lives. One likes an artist for the paintings / music / writings etc. And their personal preferences don't come into that. Equally, if they do wish to "come out", well, by all means, but no-one ought to feel that their professional future could be affected. kd lang is a brilliant artist and very likeable person - who she chooses to spend her life with is immaterial
SO MANY PEOPLE THOUGHT ANNE MURRAY WAS GAY!!! SO MANY FANS CAME TO THAT CONCLUSION BECAUSE SHE WAS 30 YEARS YEARS OLD,NOT MARRIED,AND A GYM TEACHER. SHE FINALLY SAID "I AM NOT GAY AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN GAY. SHE MARRIED WHEN SHE WAS 31 I THINK AND HAD 2 CHILDREN OVER THE NEXT 3 YEARS. I didn’t bother watching the second half of this video. I didn’t care for her attitude (I’m bored and you are asking stupid questions) and she clearly didn’t like the interviewer for whatever reason. I sure hope she has matured in graciousness. She is very talented and has a wonderful voice but talented people can still be arses.
She is such a brave honest woman and proud of what she stands for remember this was 1993
And very beautiful as well ¡😊
She was young and gorgeous.

She looks so beautiful, makes me teary eyed.

She was the most handsome woman….hands down.
Wow, she is beautiful. So down to earth.
She looked so healthy and attractive.

Good Lord, I’m 64 and could have had the lawn finished faster than that!
This man is so invasive with these questions....the gall....

You understand that it is called extreme close up?, if you're uncomfortable with it don't do such an interview

@@nancycy9039 In 1993 it was a very new concept for people to be "coming out"
She has been so uncompfortable here you can feel it
She is beautiful and also handsome ( if that makes sense) ❤
Yes it does… feel the same.
make the perfect sense 😉😘😘❤
She was very attractive here.
11:58 Dying to know why she dodged the Madonna question 😂🤔
She found her singing awful?
i love KD Lang
Man, that was like pulling teeth..poor interviewer😂
Love her!
What song are they referring to at the end?

30 years ago, it sure was not the flag waving celebration declaring one's non-artistic preferences that we endure today.

Look a lot of people don't marry and if Anne Murray didn't marry until she was thirty one so what
what the hell are these questions lol
I bet she had lots of girlfriends!
I wish that I was one of them.
😆No doubt about it
This must be from a male.

It's such an extreme close-up that it's invasive.
And then she became Miss Chatelain
This guy is really annoying and it’s obvious she isn’t enjoying this interview.

I don't think she was being an arse at all, she strikes me as very straightforward and probably neurodivergent.
@@XatxiFly ah neurodivergent is the new thing
I thought she was articulate and gracious. The interviewer was a dick
