Great interview! I love Sean's art. Just finishing up reading through his run on Hellblazer and it is truly a masterpiece. Everything he touches is a must buy for me. Thank you Mark for doing these interviews.
It is quite unique to have an interviewer who understands the "inside baseball" process of making comics as much as you. It makes these interviews a really good resource for understanding the perspectives of all these creators. I'd love to see you interview Tom Peyer, Tom Defalco, Matt Fraction, J Michael Straczynski, Len Kaminski, or Peter David.
Mark, please interview John Smith!!! He is indeed a unique and deep writer. It would be a great interview - you are a warm guy but it was off the scale in this one when you talked about John.
Great interview! You’re a natural at this Mark. Keep up the show! And don’t be afraid to reinvite older guests! There’s so many stories and juicy details out there. Cheers mate. :)
Love Sean's work -- we spoke briefly about a gig a year ago, and though he couldn't do it because of his exclusive contract, he was super nice in his response.

I'm so happy Ed Brubaker & Sean Phillips are doing one completed comic book story, instead of telling it with issue by issue like the big 2. Now you need to interview Ed Brubaker and Jacob Phillips.
Great interview. Can you please see about doing an. Interview with writer artist John Allison. He’s such an underrated part of the current British comic industry and I feel his story would be a good one to hear
1) I love how Sean looks like a character he could've drawn, down to the hairstyle -- I think he's actually drawn his own hair! 2) Please ask Steve Englehart what possessed him to end *every* declarative sentence in both SILVER SURFER and THE STRANGERS with an exclamation point. (It worked in SILVER SURFER but totally ruined the tone of THE STRANGERS.) 3) To hear that children flock to Rob Liefeld's art even today makes me more convinced than ever that listening to youth on important matters is folly.
oh yeah wait a minute... Mark needs to interview Ed Brubaker now!
Sean is a gem of an artist . Criminal is awrsome. Sleeper was sublime
38:49 Sean's deep offscreen inhale when Mark mentions that Rob Liefeld is still the favourite with kids 😂
Liefeld's art is 100xs more exciting to look at
Absolutely love Sean and Ed's works

Brubaker & Phillips are my favorite creative team. I buy whatever they put out because it’s always a quality read.
Same. Night fever. Crim - Bad night. Fade out. Some of my faves.
Loved this interview Sean is a true legend. Love to see the British powerhouses chatting.
Just last week I was hoping that Sean would feature on an episode of this! My favourite artist; Ed & Sean’s comics are up there with the best ever.
Writers go bald? Alan Moore never got the memo!
I really enjoy these.
I can see a lot of Gil Kane influence on Sean's work. And at least a touch of Buscema in his (angry) faces for sure

Anyone else think that Sean Phillip's looks like the male characters he draws?
Rememeber to tweet out your kiddies kickstarter link when it's up and running mate 👍
