Just came from another review that said they spent over a year with baristas / coffee pros testing the design of their newly designed burr set in this one, so I think it might be a tweaked design.
NB (Random fact) on the first batches of shipped Helios grinders, the top was held in position with magnets. At some point they replaced the magnets with a screw. The clumping you're getting is surprising. I've heard elsewhere about Helios clumping but have seen very little with my Helios 80, even from the start. It will be interesting to see a crew review on the 80 to see there is any obvious difference.
@@MrMarki134 I m sure you're right, but for me (I used to WDT before I took to using a dosing cup) doing both would just add one step too many to my workflow. And also, I have genuinely never seen consistency like I'm getting now, so I guess I'm not motivated to do the extra. But I'm still sure you're right!
Love the new studio and intro! Keep up the good work! ☕️
this new studio tho ☕️
How do I adjust the grind when operating outside in colder weather?
Can you get a shorter hopper?
The Helios has a specific hopper with a little tab to activate the hopper kill switch, so the short Eureka hopper does not fit the Helios.
@@johnholmquist9277 Oh no! Thanks for the reply!!
Hi cool review!! Where can i find a grounds tray for this grinder?
There is a light for the chute?
Sure is!

Anyone tried to swap 65mm burrs with 80mm burrs?
If my grinder used to grind 19g in 7.7 seconds and now it's closer to 10 seconds why would this be??
The motor isn't as optimal as before.
How about the grind retention on this grinder?
It is about the same as a Zenith, which is about a single shot's worth depending on the coffee you're using.
Looks kind of like an old gumball machine. :)
Holy crap that clumping. Nothing that can't be solved with WDT but thaaat pukes some big boulders
Agreed, but in my experience a dosing cup not only eliminates any clumps but also makes for extremely consistent puck preparation. Worth trying.
@@kawonnowak it does. I'd recommend wdting anyways, even if you shake clumps out, wdt and a tap ensures and even more flat bed before tamping

@@kawonnowak hey, whatever works for you works. If it ain't bad, don't fix it!
