When i first started playing, i put a TI undertaker in my bag and as a beginner it was my go-to distance driver. I still have it and it has beat in amazing. I have a crush boy CD1 coming and look forward to trying it out. That telsa looked beefy but i had similar experience when i first tried MVP volts in premium plastic, all beef, no turn.
Does the main CD1 fly the same as the crush boy version? I only throw 320 feet so my CB was pretty stable-overstable for me which was great for wind and needed hyzers but I donated it today into a pond. I was thinking of trying a tesla but seems like it might be too much beef to what I am looking for.
Yeah so far they fly the same. The Crish boys I was using in the video is 4 months used weekly now so it’s more flippy than the brand new cd1. But they beat into the flight you’re seeing probably within 1-2 months of regular use. And yeah, the tesla is definitely more overstable!
Nice comparison as always (you always seem to have recently recorded every comparison I am searching for 😂)! I love my CD1, it replaced my ESP Undertaker since for me, the Undertaker is way more flippy than the CD1. Just bought a used Plasma Tesla today though, so lets see which of these I end up bagging in the end, might end up with more than one of them.
Haha thanks man! I definitely loved the cd1 of the three because of that stability youre mentioning. It can handle a lot and flip nicely, or stay pretty stable if you’re not looking to throw too far.
I’d like to see the new CD1 compared to the original Discmania CD2 mold - which is the current Infinite Discs Dynasty. (9 5 -1 2). The Dynasty is available in every plastic too.
Mmmm. That makes sense. The last time a threw a dynasty it felt way flippier than the new cd1. I think I did a comparison with it a few videos back. Have you thrown a dynasty?
The undertaker is my favorite mold but I do like my thunderbird for a bit more stability and my assassin for a bit less stability depending on wind and shot shapes.
Honestly it seems like that Tesla is a 9 5 0 2. No real turn if thrown flat. Definitely can fill a slot in a lot of bags, though. Makes me think of a Thunderbird.
Yeah me too. I really like it and how confident you feel throwing it, but it definitely isn’t the -1/2 flip to straight disc I would expect without throwing it.
Grab a Fission Volt if you want more turn and fade back. Also plastic type and weight matter a lot with MVP. Maybe go a little lighter Proton to have it flip.
Mvp fission is less stable than the other plastics. I bag 3 molds in fission, neutron, and eclipse so that i can have 3 different stabilities in the same mold
@deserttrekmedia i think every company has a slightly different interpretation of what the flight numbers should be. Mvp maybe slighly more stable than some other companies.
@@deserttrekmedia in general, MVP has a slightly more overstable interpretation of numbers. If you want a disc that flies like the undertake I actually recommend using the insanity. If you try it in glow plastic it is a little more stable and neutron will fly a little less stable and fission even a little less stable. The glow insanity has been one of my main go to drivers for a while now.
I have thrown the undertaker and the Tesla and I do prefer the Tesla. Maybe if I had a different plastic in the undertaker then I would like it. The Tesla is fairly flat and I do throw forehands that will flip up and ride straight with maybe a slight turn. I would like to try all plastics of all brands but that is quite a few.
Honestly, the the tesla really does fill an important spot in the bag. I fill that with an sline PD, but if I threw MVP I think the Tesla is great. Do you know which MVP disc would be a good straight fairway that's not too overstable.
@@deserttrekmedia that is a tough one. When there is no wind, then I would throw a crave. You can't throw it full power though or it flips. I have been working with a servo to see if I like that more. I have been beating in a volt too. A beat in volt seems to fly pretty straight when there is a bit of a headwind. So if you don't like the crave and if the Tesla is too fast then maybe pick your best mid. Buzzz, hex, emac truth, or even an envy could possibly step up. But ya, I wish there was a more stable crave out there from MVP.
Kastaplast Lots is another great disc with 9,5,-1,2 flight numbers. Lovely plastic as well.
Sweet. I’ll check that one out and see if I can get it for a video! Thank you!!
The Lots is my favorite.

Mmm yeah same here with the volt, which isn’t awful, just not the slot the other two fill.

People sleep on the the Orion LF in the Sirius plastic. Flies so true to the 9/5/-1/2 numbers
Heck yes. I’ll try that out too!! Thanks for mentioning it!

There’s some other TH-camrs that do this comparison. The Dynasty and old CD2 that they had were more flippy.
@@deserttrekmediaI bag a Dynasty in C-blend and really like the disc. It is a little flippy but it’s great for woods shots.
I could not find any cd2 so i went for Oakley version. Super good, but more Flippy than crush boys
@@Pelsebubben How do you like it being that flippy? Or would you prefer it more stable?
The undertaker is my favorite mold but I do like my thunderbird for a bit more stability and my assassin for a bit less stability depending on wind and shot shapes.
Yeah i definitely never realized how nice the undertaker was. Do you know if other plastics fly different than the esp in this mold?
@@deserttrekmedia I'm not the best at analyzing this but I think the ESP run that I have is slightly more stable than the z plastic

I’ve thrown a Tesla for over a year and still have yet to have it actually turn on me. The disc feels a lot more like a 9/4/-0.5/2.5
I have a super beat-in proton one that has a perfect flip up and slight turn laser straight. Keep beating it in or try a lighter weight/dif plastic
Try fission plastic
Yeah it’s definitely a killer disc, but out of the bag, not fission plastic, it is really nice for another slot!

I’m glad you guys are helping me understand the mvp plastic because I wouldn’t have know which to grab for more similar comparisons.
probably a plasma inertia would be closer but even those take a long time to break in. IM) new mvp is generally more OS than the numbers
Haha yeah I’ve definitely started see that they’re more overstable!
Great video. Could you do videos on form or tips for throwing? God bless you
Haha i appreciate you asking, but I’m not quite sure I’m knowledgeable enough in it or effective in it myself to be able to teach someone else.
When I get a hold of a cd1 with this run, I have a great idea for a dye
Heck yes!!
Escape is alsa disc worth testing
Sweet Thank you for mentioning it! I'll be sure to grab one!
Mvp fission is less stable than the other plastics. I bag 3 molds in fission, neutron, and eclipse so that i can have 3 different stabilities in the same mold
Heck yes thanks for letting me know. I had no idea what the order of stability was for mvp. Does the fission tesla fly more like the numbers?

For real. I think when there is little to no wind or the woods, this is my favorite to watch the flight.
