Man Mark Webb was on the verge of something truly special. I still say this to this day but I’m convinced if Sony didn’t interfere with either of these films and Webb told the stories he wanted to tell, these would’ve potentially surpassed Sam Raimi’s films as the greatest live action interpretation of Peter Parker

I can understand the appeal of Holland, he really is/was a likable kid when he first started playing Spiderman, but Andrew acting was just several layers deeper, and more interesting as character development, but he was just also older when he played spiderman. Andrew was 27 vs Holland who was cast when he was only 19. So it shouldn't come as any surprise that Andrew could play a couple levels deeper than Tom in their first;. I think Tom likely will be able to get there but his personality is just different as well, so hard to know if that much fame early will work for him or against him later on as far as character. But yea I would agree there are scenes with Andrew that are still my favorite of all the Spidermans. I worked for Sony Pictures when Tobey Mcquire played him so while I liked the movies enough back then, I really thought it wasn't real enough at times for me, ie it got a little too fake, guys running around in fake customs that didn't look like they would withstand a bending too far let alone supposed superhuman strength etc.. Andrew really grounded the IP, and actually so did Emma Stone who also just a great actress as well... Super happy to see Andrew will be back even for a cameo in the new movie...

Andrew's story was the most harsh one. It wasn't Tobey's or Tom's fault that they lost uncle Ben but Andrew was selfish that night he decided to leave his house in the middle of the night not caring about the one person he looked up to the most. Uncle Ben , died that night because of Peter that's why Andrew is my favorite spidey, cause in the end he is the most realistic one the one that touches your heart the most. He had one of the most sad and traumatic years but still he doesn't give up and he decides that he has to stand up and use his powers for good

I feel that toms Spider-Man is too “disney” it’s fantasy and effect based where Tobeys and andrews were more real. Emotional and relatable to real life. That’s why Tobey wnd Andrew I feel played not only Spider-Man the best but almost more importantly, Peter Parker.

Toby was the most balanced of the three. Was adequate at both Spider-Man and Peter Parker. Tom Holland is the better SPIDER-MAN. But Andrew is the best peter Parker and that’s why he’s the best. Because for those of us who have read the comics, know that the kiddy jokes a lot spider that Tom plays isn’t who he is. Yes in the beginning. But Spider-Man’s story is viciously sad and broken. My comment is one year late but I totally agree. In many stories spiderman goes through hardships, disappointments in life and many loses but at the end of it all he still manages to direct himself to the right path. The character has incredible abilities and could easily use his powers for evil or to make his life easier... but he willingly chooses not to do immoral actions. For all his sufferings he still tries to remain pure in heart. So for that reason Andrew's interpretation resonated more to me.

An Amazing Tribute, to what was an Amazing film series. Amazing Spider-Man 2 was the first Spider-Man film I saw in theaters. This tribute brought back that kid watching the movie in the theater.
I'm like 70% certain if the Amazing spiderman movies continued, Andrew would have won an Oscar because these scenes show how his acting skills shit all over Toby's and Tom's
They need to do a 3rd movie in this series. With an alternate version of Gwen and him dealing with that. Yes, it would be just like Quil and Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy, but they've got the perfect opportunity to reintroduce this more grounded world with more outlandish characters. I'd love to see how Garfield's Peter changed during the years after Gwens death, and how his encounter with two other Spider-Men changed his outlook. And maybe this alternate Gwen has a story she regrets also... idk. I wanna see it.

An Amazing Tribute, to what was an Amazing film series. Amazing Spider-Man 2 was the first Spider-Man film I saw in theaters. This tribute brought back that kid watching the movie in the theater.

They need to do a 3rd movie in this series. With an alternate version of Gwen and him dealing with that.
Yes, it would be just like Quil and Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy, but they've got the perfect opportunity to reintroduce this more grounded world with more outlandish characters. I'd love to see how Garfield's Peter changed during the years after Gwens death, and how his encounter with two other Spider-Men changed his outlook. And maybe this alternate Gwen has a story she regrets also... idk.
