BIG SLIDE VIA THREE BROTHERS // Hiking Adirondack 46er High Peaks

- Hiking Big Slide Mountain via the Three Brothers is a rewarding and moderately difficult Adirondack High Peak. You are rewarded with amazing views of the Great Range at the summit. Hiking via the Three Brothers makes the trail up interesting scrambling over many exposed rock faces and exposed views of the valley below.
I would highly suggest arriving early at the Gardens Parking lot in Keene Valley, NY. Hiking via the Three Brothers to the summit of Big Slide is our preferred loop as opposed summiting via the Slide Mountain Brook Trail. The full loop is just over 9 miles and is a popular hike among the Adirondack 46ers.

Great video! I did this exact hike a few weeks ago and it's my favorite of the 46 so far(10/46). I really like loops and I found the brothers trail very fun. On a sunny saturday I showed up at 4:00 AM and it was full. You lucked out with parking.

Summit shots are the best! You will enjoy Big Slide. Real cool approach over 3 Brothers and then great views of the Great Range. I did a sunrise summit this winter on Big Slide. Thanks for watching and stay safe!

This was my first hike in ADK. 20 years ago. Holy smokes the parking area is 10 times larger! Cheers!
And it does not even hold the weekend crowds nowadays.
Went there in 2019 and did the reverse of your hike. We had to park outside the town and take a suttle to the Garden parking lot though. Plenty of parking space then.
The shuttle is a great idea in the busy areas. I love going over the Three Brothers first, you get some great views of Big Slide as you approach. Did you get visited by the pine marten on the summit? Love the view of the Great Range.
Are you kids of age? You may get in trouble giving them alcohol in public, on video. Even if they were, don't drink and hike. It defeats the whole idea, and you spoil it for others. Also, no polls when scrambling up the rocks. Useless, when not dangerous. Other than that, the mountains are gorgeous.
