Revelation 21:4 - The verse he posted at the end is from Mark chapter 8 and verse 36, and are the words of the Lord Jesus.

This song was written long before he became famous so this song is not about fame or fortune or turning down a record contract. It's a spiritual song from his soul. Quoting Mark 8:36 at the end tells what he is thinking
I live in a smallish town. It's grown since I moved here 26 years ago. I used to love driving the roads with all of the farms and ranches, mountains and the river. Today I drove on a road that I hadn't been on for a year or so and the farmland was gone. Some filled with 100s of unaffordable houses, the rest filled with gas stations and corporate businesses. A lot of the small businesses closed during COVID and new chain businesses came in or the buildings are empty due to high property taxes. Oliver/Chris's simple words made me break down and cry for the loss of the land.

He's not asking for a slave, he's just asking for a relationship with his children. Just talk to him, like Chris, tell him about your day. The verse at the end comes from the book of proverbs and is a biblical value of one single soul. The one single soul is worth more than the whole universe. This is how much the Bible values an individual soul.

Oliver Anthony has a statement on his Facebook page, talking about his life. The news recorded him with his permission and the recording was put on TH-cam. He never wanted to be a professional singer. The recording was made in his back yard, his home in a camper with a tarp over it because the roof leaks.
On his page he talks about working in a mill and getting injured, depression and alcoholism.
The beauty of his music is the simplicity, filmed with his dogs and in his own yard. He doesn't need a proper record company to record his music and touring. His music has reached millions of people globally.

His music is helping us get in touch with something a lot of us have been struggling to ignore. He is telling us that ignoring it is not proper despite being told to do so.

He had a concert scheduled for Knoxville Tennessee.He found out the venue was charging $100.00 a ticket and told them to drop the price to $25.00 or he was going to cancel.They called his bluff,and it wasn't a bluff.They wouldn't lower it,he canceled and made them refund the money back to everyone who had already bought tickets.He said he wants EVERYONE to be able to afford a ticket to see him without going broke
