These last days I've being thinking in upgrade my technique in different genrers because I play mostly rock and folk music. So I stared to look old vintage guitars, cedar/spruce top with magahony back and sides 12 fret parlor guitars, then I tought 'Wait a minute, isn't the best way to do that with a classical guitar? And there is me three days ago looking at reverb catalogs in the cordoba models and now here I am feeling so happily surprise because I'm going to buy a cordoba c5 cedar/magahony guitar. Thanks a lot for the video! Keep going, guys!
I have been at guitar center hoping i can get a great deal on the C7 but it is still out of my price range i really want it to play at church but it will have to wait! Oh man oh man that guitar sounded amazing one can only hope! One day
Yes. A combination of adjusting the truss rod and filing down the saddle until I got it just right. The factory installed Savarez strings went in the trash and were replaced with Aquila Nylgut. The factory tuners are not the greatest, so I replaced those with DerJung machines. These have a brushed brass plate with black knobs and rollers. They stay in tune much better and look very nice. I kept the bone nut and saddle because Tusq was way too bright and glassy.
There are many reports on the internet about the bridge coming off the Cordoba C3, C5 and C7. I wrote the company and was told that they were aware of the issue, and it has been fixed! So if you see these reports, know that the company has fixed the issue, AND if there is a problem on a new Cordoba, it will be fixed under warranty. I'm looking to buy either the C5 or the C7 soon. For the price, I don't think you can beat these guitars.
Thanks for the info. However, how can you trust their word? They shipped hundreds of defective guitars, and didn't stand behind their mistake. If they say "we fixed it" why should I believe? There are reports from 2018 saying the bridge comes off..
@@denizhankaraca8862 --- I saw one such report from 2018. But most complaints in that respect which I have read are from 2015- 2017. Bought a new C7 a week ago. Good to know that they will make it right if I have a problem with the bridge coming loose.

Well this is weird and awesome. I've been spending the last few day researching classical guitars and the C5, C7, C9 seem to be the forerunners for me. Does anyone have an opinion on how the C7 or C9 would stack up against a La Patrie Concert? I'm a lefty so options are more limited...
David Frantz I bought a C7 about 4 months ago and LOVE it .... There is no better nylon string for that price. The build quality and attention to detail are flawless. Nice solid lows and highs that ring like bells. It plays incredible too!
David Frantz I’ve owned a Córdoba c7 spruce and a La Patrie collection. Very different instruments tonally. I highly preferred the c7 from la Patrie due to its lightness, it’s balanced tone, and sonority that truly was magical with the right strings. The La Patrie was heavy, dark and brooding. I used carbon strings on it to offset its thickness of sound . I will say though when I bought it at GC the whole room reverberated within the guitar so it definitely is a marvelous instrument in its own right too. Really think about what you want your tone to be and that will guide you to the best instrument for your artistry.
Hello very good I bought a guitar cordoba c3m and c5 both I did not like it so bad with manufacturing defects is what you know a classic brand much better than that
C7 $549 C9 $899 I have c7 cedar top and I love it. C9 has solid mahogany side and back. C7 has laminated rosewood side and back. For the money I’d choose c7. It looks and plays fantastically.
These guitars are untouched by Spanish hands and have been mass-produced by 3rd party Chinese manufacturers using artificially seasoned wood. The C3 sounded like a $99 Aliexpress guitar that includes the padded gig bag and all the accessories.
You're not going to find a guitar made in Spain in this price range. I was leery of Cordoba after reading internet discussions, and I haven't picked up a C3, but I have handled a couple of C5s new and used. I recently compared a C5 to a $650 solid cedar topped Kremona and there was absolutely no comparison. The $400 C5 completely blew the Kremona away. If sound is what matters most to you and you need to stay within a budget under $500, it's amazing what you can get for the money.
RIP Ben Woods, great artist and good guy!
I had a Cordoba Guitar. Not many stores sell these excellent Spanish Guitars . Mississauga Ontario Canada.
Nice demo of how the same music sounds played on the different models!
I received my c5 today . Beautiful guitar

In my opinion the C7 really stood out.

Talk to the priest he may share some of the church money who knows 🤷♂️
My C3 sounds and plays great. I upgraded the tuners, lowered the action and it rivals the C7.

Is c5 bestter than c3m. ?Thanks for making such this kind of video sir.
Man that c5 sounds wonderful then the c7 hit. Man.

David which one did you end up getting? I'm a lefty and Im contemplating the same two guitars!
Love Cordoba guitars but with Ben playing any guitar will sound fantastic.......in the market for a C 7
not seeing the included gig bag with the C7 in 2024, today price is 500 euro, I guess inflation made its way
I love my c7
Lk.Cordobas...but Fishman electric onics blew out + cost me $149..
I am an intermediate guitar player, if you could recommend me a guitar between C3-C5. Are those flamenc guitar? Thank you
what is that bit you play in the beginning called?
I’m seeing the C3 go for $50 more than said in this video... did he just get the info wrong or was there a price increase?
song name???
A critical market that's well looked after.
Thank you :)
My question is....Why does Cordoba make such nice guitars at these prices?
The Master series are $3500...the others are not
What microphone and video gig are you using for your recording?
I see its a Neumann mic. (expensive!)
So obvious, C7 is the winner
The clear coat finish seems to bring out the high end more.
yeah the headstock logo really rounds out the bottom end
C5 sounds the best to me. It is more open than the C7.
