Reni Santoni: Santoni died on August 1, 2020 at a hospice in Los Angeles at the age of 81. He had several health issues during his last years, including cancer
Popwell was also the pimp in Magnum Force. Among the other actors Eastwood brought back multiple times: Geoffrey Lewis (High Plains Drifter, Thunderbolt & Lightfoot, Every Which Way But Loose, Any Which Way You Can). Sondra Locke (Outlaw Josey Wales, Gauntlet, Bronco Billy, Every Which Way But Loose, Any Which Way You Can, Sudden Impact). John Quade (High Plains Drifter, Outlaw Josey Wales, Every Which Way But Loose, Any Which Way You Can).
I AM A DIE HARD CLINT EASTWOOD FAN. HAVE BEEN SINCE I WAS A CHILD. HE IS WITHOUT A DOUBT WHAT JUSTICE IS. TO BAD IN THIS DAY AND AGE WE COULDN'T USE WHAT DIRTY HARRY DID. EVEN THOUGH WE ALL KNOW ITS JUST A MOVIE.BUT DAME WOULDN'T IT BE NICE IN SOME CIRCUMSTANCES. LOVE YA CLINT EASTWOOD NOW AND FOREVER. YOU TRULY ARE THE BEST
Albert Popwell appeared in Magnum Force (the pimp), The Enforcer (Big Ed Mustafa), and Sudden Impact (a cop). John Vernon was best known for playing Dean Wormer in Animal House. Harry Guardino played a mobster in "Any Which Way You Can". Andrew Robinson's most prominent role was the Cardassian tailor/ex-spy Garrech on Star Trek Deep Space Nine. He probably doesn't miss the makeup sessions.
I once watched this with three SFPD Inspectors. Despite much of it being fiction we all agreed it's a great film. I didn't know Max Gail was in it and am surprised this doesn't mention he was Wojo on Barney Miller. I was an extra in a tv movie once and got to hang out with him. Super guy, really interesting. And last....every time I'd ride my bicycle past that lake in San Rafael I'd wonder if the P38 pistol was still down on the bottom.
I have a replica of that badge and case. I kept it in my car's glove box when I lived in Texas, in case of road rage... by a non-movie fan, of course! I don't remember the P-38 falling into the water. If it did, it's probably a prop anyway. There's a very good locations" video for this movie on YT. I think the lake is still there - or pond maybe, and business park or condos around it. Take a look for the video, it's great nostalgia.
You should have noted that Albert Popwell was in the first four Dirty Harry movies, playing different characters each time. Other than that, this is awesome. Oh, and Max Gail being in Barney Miller is a big oversight.
emt5330-- I'd imagine not a day goes by that someone comes up and calls him "Poppy" from Seinfeld....or invites him in to sit down on a chair...NOT a couch.
When I joined the b ritish Army in 1972 I flinched when I fried the L1A1SLR......because I felt wow her is power...back on the farm...all the shotguns were popguns by comparison. Real guns.
It was all going well until the word "Twitter" was mentioned. I hate that damn pointless app. Social media shite. Life was so much better before the internet. The world was a much nicer place, people didnt get brainwashed with things they see online. Id be happy not to be posting this comment if TH-cam did not exist. Thank you.
Very nicely done! I'd say "as usual," but I don't recognize your YT name. Did you change it? Your style is similar to another "where are they" video I saw a long time ago. Thanks for including the music credit. That is a beautiful song.
Wow! This video is all over the road. Biographies, tidbits and missing info. Just stick to the premise of where they are now. And ditch the morose music.
Clint Eastwood is still kicking( the crap out of Hollywood by making Awesome films) ... I heard that he died too so I did my research back when I heard that. It was a Hoax!
You went far and beyond in this video, for that, thank you for much!!!
I almost spit out my popcorn the first time I heard the line "my that's a big one". Cudos Andy Robinson.
That was actually improvised and the whole crew busted up laughing the first time he said it! LOLOL!

the Bank robber played different characters in the Dirty Harry sequels than he did in the first one
The music had me depressed after 15 seconds...couldn’t take any more !
Chipchase I had to turn the volume down, it was making me drink cider
You beat me. I held out for almost 8 minutes. What was I thinking?
Super depressing!
Pro tip: run at 2x playback speed and it hops right up.
Andrew Robinson also played Detective Monte in Cobra (1986).
Albert Popwell also acted as Big Ed Mustafa in The Enforcer and Harry's partner in Sudden Impact.
clint took very good care of his friends.
Raymond Dowd--- Was going to add the same comment....Clint was very loyal to those who were loyal back.
Popwell was also the pimp in Magnum Force.

Crazy trivia. He was in 4 out of 5 Dirty Harry films. I knew 3 of them, but somehow the pimp got past me.
William O'Connell

Eastwood works out, watches his diet keeps active ,must be telling us something!!
Dirty Harry didn't "help" to make the .44 Mag popular! Dirty Harry MADE it popular.
Definitely,no one except gun nuts knew about it until the movie came out
I still say he deserves a Oscar for his role
Andy Robinson played a Cardassian tailor on one of the Star Trek series.
Yes, he played Garak, a Cardassian tailor (and ex-spy), in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Wonderful show, brilliant actor.
Liked the background music.
Reni Santoni is still alive and continues to act.
emt5330-- I'd imagine not a day goes by that someone comes up and calls him "Poppy" from Seinfeld....or invites him in to sit down on a chair...NOT a couch.

Seems half the people in the cast died of heart trouble of some kind.
Funny but Reni Santoni and Andy Robinson were Slyvester Stallone's movie Cobra.
Poor guy all hes rembered for is the scorpio killer
When I joined the b ritish Army in 1972 I flinched when I fried the L1A1SLR......because I felt wow her is power...back on the farm...all the shotguns were popguns by comparison. Real guns.

Damn! Clint outlived almost everybody. LOL.
I find it hard to believe that the "Tunnel Dweller' is in fact Max Gail?
It checks out on Wikipedia, but it sure doesn't look like him at all.
This music is too sad
what is this interesting music ?
BETTER in 1.5 Speed
Interesting but way to slow...speed it up!
George Titus
🤗 It's cool George! It was made in that 70's, what internet kind of way.
Well done.
Can we speed it up just a little?
And do us a favor: Kill the “poignant” music track.
The music is wonderful, what is it?
What about Sunny, Harry's hot neighbor?
Yes,she's the owner of a chain of highly successful massage parlors...lol
Reni is “Poppie” on Seinfeld, dummy!
