HOW TO Make A Drive Belt

Today, we make our own custom drive belt! Depending on the use, application and specifications, this technique can be used to make either a temporary / improvised drive belt for an emergency repair or a final replacement part between the pulleys. In my case, it was simply to check if changing the drive belt would get this projector to work again.
► YOU WILL NEED
- Synthetic rope
- Fire source
- Silicone. Note that I used some old silicone in the video which left some silicone chunks on the rope. With fresh silicone, you do get a better finish.

IF this doesn't hold up, try a hair tie! They come in a variety of sizes now days. Look into the ones for thick hair, as those are a lot longer yet still nice & thin. Hope this works out for ya. 😁

I almost said NO until you applied the silicone - that is actually a stronger solution over time since rubber breaks down from Heat and just age - which is why all these need repair now! lol
