So you assembled miscellaneous nuts bolts and pieces to make a device for your lathe. The same lathe which can be used to make threaded rods, cams and handles. Didn’t you just miss a great opportunity to use your lathe for this project.

Excellent. The simplest tailstock lever design I have seen on TH-cam so far. I have a Sieg C3. I am definitely going to make one myself!
Best DIY video on mini-lathe tail kever I've seen. Going try this method soon.
Very easy, and very budget. Some time solutions like that is the best option.
