@bobsmith6544 No idea. She could have had her fingers taped. That's a common thing for volleyball players, both to make their fingers more rigid, and to prevent injuries, while blocking. hey Jomboy team!
just wanted to inform you some crazy stuff happened in sumo today:
lowest ranked debutante takerufuji won the tournament today and set some impressive records!
-ties Taiho's record for most consecutive wins by a rookie
-4th of all time to win the tournament on the low low rank of M17
-6th to win every single special prize in one tournament (these are sort of like silver slugger/golden glove in baseball)
-2nd rookie to win a tournament and 1st after 110 years!
granted I am very much biased, but I genuinely feel like this deserves its own breakdown instead of a segment in TYM

Reading a book while playing a professional sport is completely something I could see myself doing, if I was good enough to be a professional at any sport of course. There are a number of times I can think of books where anytime I was on the bench I'd just be reading. I guess the problem would be that with a team sport everyone would say you were disrespecting your teammates. But in a solo sport, there is no way that I wouldn't be reading. In Highschool I always had a book and I competed in track and field and wrestling. I'm almost certain I was reading between most events and matches.

I was at the Seatle Sounders home Opener Yesterday (March 2) against Austin, and around the 65 minute mark, while on an attack an attacker and a defender got tied up in the penalty area. I believe it was Austin #11 defending. After the mix up, Austin's defender just lies there in the penalty box, and tries to stop the game. after a bit of time lying in the grass, the ball just straight up lands in #11's lap, and the guy just kicks it away and gets up to play immediately.
