This is exactly what I need from a video about my favourite deck galaxy eyes, couldn't find anywhere else that actually teach me how to play the galaxy eyes deck since there are not many player interest in galaxy eyes deck. Thank you my man. Appreciate it!!
The trance/expedition search is interchangable but for the all the nib haters you should search trance first so you can at least make a rank 8 if you get nibbed on GPD summon. Dope vid
Very educative video and I completely agree with your approach of not learning the combos but rather the flow with some intermediate goals. I did the same over at pojo after the Hypernova support dropped because I remembered my days playing D/D where I just tried to remember all the combos and it was bad. If you approach it this way you become far more flexible and able to execute your strategy even with less optimal hands. I'll definitely link this video when I update my guide because I couldn't do it better with replays and you deserve all the views you can get!
Here is one I randomly thought of involving Jumper Normal Jumper, Special Vanisher , add GEPD Link summon Isolde, add Kai-Den Kendo Spirit to hand as well as Galaxy Expedition Isolde send Galaxy Zero to special Comet General (new lv1 warrior pend from CYAC), link into Beyond the Pendulum and add Guiding Ariadne Scale both and pend summon GEPD, Expedition out Afterglow, Xyz summon Cipher than Blade, detach pop Ariadne and add Tachyon Transmigration to hand
Great video, completely different from other ones in which they don't teach you how to actually think about what to do but instead they only give you combo paths.
That is a very nice video you made there. I was testing for over an hour and trying to find the best board for jumper plus soldier, but I didn't see the line with cipher X. Thanks mate
Galaxy-Eyes is one of the very few combo decks that don't usually follow linear combo lines, mainly because the deck doesn't have one-card combos but it has like 30 different combinations of 2-card combos. Most of the combos are improvisation based on what you already have in hand and you need to be thinking 3 or 4 lines ahead to play the deck optimally, because again, it doesn't follow a single linear one-card combo like Prankids with Meowmu or Swordsouls with Taia.
Yo i’m new on your Channel and i want to thanks you for your content, i play galaxy eyes/photon for long time and i had never seen qualitative video like yours
It's important to mention that cypher x does nothing here according to the ocg rulings. That might be relevant for anyone who plays master duel. Cypher X only protects the current monsters on the field upon the resolution of its effect.
Thats awesome and rly ez to learn, would be cool demonstrations with for example afterglow in hand , brick hands, full hands and well replays , Thanks a lot
Thanks for the recommendation. This is just lesson 1, and in later lessons, I will cover hands where you may think it is a brick, but it is actually not. Thanks for watching.
This is really good to know I was playing master duel and we just got the new galaxy eyes support and it was confusing me even though I read the cards this is a really great breakdown thank you for sharing keep up the great work
Great vid, love how you explain the choices and goals of your combos. You made a typing mistake in the title, thought someone should let you know. Keep the great content up!
I'm new to the deck and loving the video so far, is there a specific reason you're not running photon sanctuary in your build? Seems pretty good at getting out a free link 2. Sorry if this is a dumb question, still learning the theory behind the deck
It's a viable card. It is seen as a tech card and not a core card, meaning you will have to replace a tech card we run for it. The tech card I currently run is Hyper Galaxy, so replace it with Sanctuary if you want to run it. I personally run Hyper Galaxy because it gives more offensive/powerful endboards. Other people run Eternal Galaxy for consistency or even Pot of Prosperity.
are there any changes to the deck you would make since 6 months have elapsed? also, could ash be ran instead of belle in the side deck? thanks for helping teach the deck to people
That's a really good way to help people learn the deck. Thank you for that. Since you seem to be really good with the deck, would you say the deck is better playing first or second? Nowadays many decks have become incredibly hard to break if they play first.
The only problem I’ve been having with builds I’m making is that they suffer in the grind game due to only running 1 expedition and 1 trance. I think it’s engine requirement to run 2 of one of them and 1 of the other
That’s why I’ll always argue for deck Galaxy Cleric. I’m so tired of hearing this is a dead card going first or that you rather prioritize a different normal summon. But I feel like the benefits of running Cleric vastly outweigh the negatives. It’s a card in testing that has routinely bailed me out because I was able to continually grind.
For the grind game I suggest Last Hope Numbers. Its similar to Trance but better as a comeback card because you'll always be able to pay the LP cost and you can do the Afterglow OTK with it
@@jesuslozoya3902 cleric has saved my ass a few times so I agree. The cards a really nice “well, my opponent has screwed me over but i still have my normal, let’s see if I can do anything to change the situation” card. I will always run 1 copy just because of this fact.
@@sauron6031 Absolutely! I believe resource management is crucial in the game. Cleric does 2 things, recycle resources and give you more card advantage. Really helps with either having overwhelming advantage where you simply can’t lose or recovering from broken boards.
Assuming you have one of the 3 spells needed for the combo, I assume search last hope numbers instead would make sense? That way you have the means to go into c/62/107 and go for the kill on the next turn should things go south
This is where tech cards come into play. Since you play 5 cards (1 Trance, 1 Expedition, 3 Hundred), you can instead search for a tech card. These tech cards are: 1 Hyper Galaxy 1 Photon Stream 1 Galakuriboh 1 Last Hope When you search any one of these, you are waiting to use it for your opponents turn or your next turn (except Galakuriboh) With Last Hope, you might want to hold on to it for next turn if your opponent can break your board. I personally go for Hyper Galaxy so I can have a stronger endboard
So let me get this straight 3 card combo. You need to start with Wizard/Soldier + Discard + 1 of ur OTHER x3 Soldier/Wizard/Jumper/Galaxy hundred or x1 Emperor, Galaxy Expedition, Galaxy Trance, Foolish burial, Rota, Galaxy Summoner. As everything in the that listis 1 fo the cards you search or enables a search for 1 of the cards you want to search freeing up 1 of the searchs in combo to get emperor into gy for that extra normal for Summoner. 2 Card Combo For it to work as a 2 card combo you need Emperor/Jumper. With wizard/soldier as their discard for soldier is a search.
I would not cut anything for Pot of Prosperity (POP). I did swap POP for Triple Talent Tactics (TTT) The reason why I play TTT is because consistency beats handtraps. TTT does this by allowing you to draw 2 cards if they use a hand trap. It also gives additional effects to take control of a monster or to remove a card from your opponents hand. It's more versatile than POP. Also, the deck is good enough not to need more consistency. Thus, POP is not as good in post-jumper vs PHHY. Hope this answers your question!! Thanks for watching!!
To remove floodgates like Skill Drain, or powerful continuous spell/trap cards or field spells. A lot of cards prevent you from destroying Spell/Trap cards, so having a way to bypass them is really good. Cyclone doesn't destroy. It banishes.
what do you think of using a 3 of dragons bind. sense you can easily get a 2500 attack or def lower dragon monster consistently to prevent speacial sommoning anything below that monsters attack. sense galaxy photon dragon and starleage meet that requirements.
These are interesting combos. I'm picking the deck after a long year of not playing Yu-Gi-Oh and I want to play my favorite deck ❤️. Is the deck good with the new support.
Depends on whether or not you can achieve results with similar/ better quality and consistency. A lot of the stronger cards like Trance are very xenophobic so playing other engines will always be problematic.
