You drove past my mom and dad’s house that is now no longer there and it brought me to tears because I miss it so. Thank you. I’m from Kingston and plains originally but moved out of the area in 1969. Returned only to visit family. How can a town not change at all in 50+ years?
My mother is from Duryea, I loved going up there when I was kid. Great place for a single guy, if you have a somewhat decent job. Pizza, beer, and kielbasa, what could be better.
I lived on Academy St in Swoyersville, great little house, nice neighbors. Ended up moving the family to VA. Turned out to be a bad idea. Rude, selfish people and by far the absolute worst drivers I've seen. Also, this state is rable infested! Definitely leaving VA but not sure of going back to NEPA just yet. A lot of pros but the cons are why we left, tough to overlook. Nice video though, brought back a lot of great memories.
