This is exactly why they're doing this podcast "was it real?" Because it definitely wasn't always real. Lauren isn't the sweet, classy girl the show made her out to be. I love Whitney’s spin-off because I honestly thought them showing the fashion industry was so fun & interesting. I remember a lot of girls in my High School were interested in working in Fashion because of The Hills. Lauren and Whitney also had so much motivation to grow in their career, which was inspiring. I think as kids, we definitely needed role models because younger millennials, I feel like we didn’t really have that.

I thought I was getting juicy gossip from Heidi until I rewatched it and her story didn’t even make sense. Her story doesn’t add up at all. She keeps insisting that it all started out because the drama with Audrina was due to Jason and that anything with spencer didn’t happen until way later. She also stated clearly more than once that her not wanting Audrina at her bday was because of Lauren/Jason drama because it was the first scene filmed in the season so no spencer drama has happened yet. However in one scene Audrina says both “Heidi hates me because she thinks I’m flirting with spencer” then states in the same scene “I’m not invited to her bday tonight” She kept playing victim and saying “I didn’t invite you because of lauren, the whole spencer thing hadn’t even happened yet and lauren went to lunch with you and made it seem like it was my fault” seems like spencer fed a story to Heidi to blast on the podcast.
Not a fan of Whittney but it did make sense she got a spin off, she was the sweet and dependable friend who also wanted to be in the fashion industry, she was also emotionally intelligent which lets be real here heidi and audrina did not have…

This is exactly why they're doing this podcast "was it real?" Because it definitely wasn't always real. Lauren isn't the sweet, classy girl the show made her out to be. Heidi is constructing a new narrative for Lauren. Look, I understand that aspects of the show aren’t real, but I don’t want to continue to dwell on the same topics over and over again. We get it - Brody and Lauren went out. Brody is saying that it was genuine and they had crushes on each other and then that turned into friendship. And then Heidi comes in and says “well she liked you more than you liked her”. Why do we as the listener care who liked who more? They didn’t even date. Lauren’s not there to speak for herself. If Heidi was brought in to speak for Lauren then I’m not interested in watching or listening to this. The situation with Audrina is another example of how Heidi shifted the narrative on Lauren’s involvement on Heidi’s friendship with Audrina. I’m not saying that Lauren didn’t do those things. I love Whitney’s spin-off because I honestly thought them showing the fashion industry was so fun & interesting. I remember a lot of girls in my High School were interested in working in Fashion because of The Hills. Lauren and Whitney also had so much motivation to grow in their career, which was inspiring. I think as kids, we definitely needed role models because younger millennials, I feel like we didn’t really have that.

Why is Heidi coming off as a mean girl? Everyone was young and figuring out life in a new time. There seems like some healing should take place which is understandable because there may be past traumas resurfacing.
I thought I was getting juicy gossip from Heidi until I rewatched it and her story didn’t even make sense.
Her story doesn’t add up at all. She keeps insisting that it all started out because the drama with Audrina was due to Jason and that anything with spencer didn’t happen until way later. She also stated clearly more than once that her not wanting Audrina at her bday was because of Lauren/Jason drama because it was the first scene filmed in the season so no spencer drama has happened yet. However in one scene Audrina says both “Heidi hates me because she thinks I’m flirting with spencer” then states in the same scene “I’m not invited to her bday tonight”
She kept playing victim and saying “I didn’t invite you because of lauren, the whole spencer thing hadn’t even happened yet and lauren went to lunch with you and made it seem like it was my fault” seems like spencer fed a story to Heidi to blast on the podcast.
Not a fan of Whittney but it did make sense she got a spin off, she was the sweet and dependable friend who also wanted to be in the fashion industry, she was also emotionally intelligent which lets be real here heidi and audrina did not have…

I’m starting to not like this Heidi addition. The nasty comments about Whitney and Lauren are so unecessary. Heidi is creating a whole new narrative especially anything that has to do with Lauren. I’m not buying it, since she is not there to give her side of the story. That’s a pretty nasty thing to do. I highly suggest to listen to Back to the Beach podcast, they to such a good job speaking from their point of view without bashing everyone. Heidi has so much hate all this years later, and reminds everyone exactly why all that negative publicity she had. Not liking this also I can’t believe that even Audrina says “that doesn’t makes sense”.
I love knowing the time line of things and all the inside scoop and all that jazz but this podcast has just turned into a bashing fest. I feel like Heidi is just trying to make up for all the years she’s felt on the outs with all these people or even I guess just how the show portrayed it to be… I feel like you can get that across without all the pettiness.
Also I like learning more about Frankie's life. I've always loved him in the show. He seems to always be fair and try to keep the peace.

If we’re going to constantly talk about Lauren, it’s probably best to have Lauren there. It’s fine to mention her but to constantly explain what SHE was doing and thinking is not cool. Of course she has to be acknowledged but some of it just feels ridiculous to speak for her.
We want to know what YOU were thinking and doing, not the people y’all didn’t like.

Heidi is a breath of fresh air! She’s so unafraid to just say exactly how it was and how she felt about things while remaining her bubbly fun self!

listening to Heidi's explanation for not talking to audrina sounds like a load of bull and someone, a producer, should verify it. None of the scenes make any sense especially when Lauren and Heidi are discussing aurdina on the show!... Heidi comes across as trying desperately to be "real" when she is probably the fakest of them all. She's not even very nice to audrina on the podcast!!

I was really excited for this podcast and deep diving into every episode. It feels like a group just bad mouthing and less about the show. I can’t listen to this anymore ☹️
