I agree with Sophia. I'm actually really happy that they didn't include the ladies' fame into the show. It made the show feel more authentic, and I don't think it would be as iconic or trendsetting as it is today if they did that...because now, every show does it 🤷🏾♀️
Out of all of the episodes that Whitney and Timmy did, Whitney never spoke ill of Audrina and always painted her in a good light and even felt bad when she was dealing with stuff with Justin. So it sucks to see/feel the shade towards her.
I think she was always just one foot in, one foot out with The Hills. They probably just wished she was more involved, and more of a friend.
theres no shade just honesty. you are being over sensitive. This is real life. Whitney never involved herself with them on a personal level so why are they supposed to feel close to her? They havent said anything bad about her just the truth about hw she was distant. which this producer confirms by saying she didnt enjoy doing the show.

Not sure why Audrina is shading Whitney and is alwaysssss speaking so highly of Heidi as if Heidi wasn’t shading her after New Beginnings. 🙄

There’s an old episode on Laurens podcast asking for a friend with Sophia which is a good listen too. I think the others are being nicer about Lauren in the episode because they know Sophia and Lauren are friends?

Whitney said that she did go to Paris but it was more of like a trip than her internship. It was with vogue and she did work for the ball but that was only for like a day or 2.

Whitney went to Paris twice the first trip wasn’t filmed. Remember she said to Lisa Love “Fiona was unbelievable, we went to Coco Chanel’s apartment.. etc” on yt she said brought her best friend Joanna & went for a week. She went back with Lauren in a later season for the Chrillon Ball.
I don't believe Whitney because she never shared any photos and when they went to Paris a second time she didn't even know how Givenchy is pronounced.

@@Amanda-fy3us Whitney barely knew how to pronounce places and designer names when she and Lauren went. Whitney never shared any photos and she was eyes wide open when they walked out of the aeroport for the first time. I don't think she went and as it is becoming more and more evident all of this is made up.
I remember Whitney saying they just shot the scene at the airport and never went there for work with Teen Vogue

Tbf Heidi was great in S1...then changed so much after she met Spencer and all the fall.out with Lauren. To give her credit, she definitely helped make S1 a success. Suprised u loved the Whit and Timmys eps, as they had the same 'We love Heidi' vibes all the way thru. Tbh they seemed to have a grudge against Lauren, which got frustrating to watch as time went on..no idea what that was all about.

Audrina seems to have an issue with Whitney by the way she speaks and I don’t know why….. Whitney was one of my favorites and so real and let’s face it Whitney is the one that started this reaction to The Hills so maybe Audrina should be thanking her.

Yes! The music helped drive the show! So many great fresh sounding songs! Made it more fun to watch cuz the music helped put you in a good mood.
Such a perfect example of an Mtv show using their namesake to make pop culture with a good soundtrack. Now 98 percent of the shit on the channel has zero to do with music. Not sure what ridulousness even is.
I love Sophia! She is so genuine and a big part of the reason The Hills is so iconic 💖

I think the podcast is good only when there are guests on, otherwise the 3 of them don’t hold as well together.

The Heidi Bolthouse storyline is the most confusing thing. Heidi has said both yes and no that she worked there on separate occasions. I'm not sure she even knows

Literally just listen to ONE episode of back to the beach with Kristin and Stephen and you’ll see how it should be done. A clear recap of the episode front to back, ratings, favorite lines etc. another good example of this type of podcast done right is 9021OMG with Jennie Garth and Tori spelling. They include a producer who was a fan of the show growing up, and that reallyyyyy helps get great questions out of them and keep them on track if they ever get side tracked with convos
And also Kristen & Stephen are not going out their way to be shady!! All just positive vibes. Much prefer theres 🤣

I can’t wait to hear Brody address were him and Lauren really dating because Spencer said it was fake.
He addressed it in other episodes, they never dated, ever. They were the “on screen couple” only.

Interesting to hear Sophia say Whitney didn’t wanna be on the show when Whitney explained on her channel that when she interviewed for her internship they asked who would be comfortable on camera and she said yes. I didn’t get the vibe Whitney didn’t wanna be a part of it.
Yes that was interesting to hear but that's probably why Whitney agreed to film as it was related to the internship that she thought was real as Sophia the producer stated. Whitney's personality seems very different from the rest of the girls that was on the show. She appears to be very laid back and not looking for fame or attention so she probably didn't really desire to film but did it for the internship that her and Lauren thought was real. She honestly doesn't seem like the type that would want to be on TV but that show gave her a platform that she can still profit off of via the fame it provided her with. I'd be interested in Whitney's take on the internship not being totally real lol, according to this producer, Sophia.
I think she was probably a bit shy. Like she wasn't ready to jump into the deep end with her private life.

Why can they not have the show playing and then sit, watch it and react to it?
They are all obviously taking the time to watch it at home, and then taking even more time to do the podcast to talk about it. The current way they have it set up, makes them are all over the place while discussing it.
If they would actually watch the show, they would all be talking about the same moments and we would get to see their real reactions of what’s happening on the screen in real time.
Im sure it wouldn’t be that hard considering Whitney and her husband do it.
I am sure it would have way more viewers by having it set up that way and it would make their million hour long promoting-ad-commercial breaks they do more tolerable.
Whitney’s rewatch was given permission by MTV so maybe they didn’t get it?

Whitney did the internship in Paris but it was only for one week not all summer long.
I was literally one of the ppl that moved to LA cuz of the show. I also went to fidm because Lauren was going to go to a fashion school on Laguna beach but I didn’t know it would end up being the same school I went to! Except I started in San Diego and then took some classes in La by the end and moved there not long after. I only lasted 2 years in La unfortunately.

@@ct6852 it was a love/hate. Loved the friends I made and the fun I was having. Hated the pretentiousness and some of bad things happened with some toxic guys. Plus I got a dog and he wasn’t a fan of the city (downtown), so I moved back to az where my mom lived. My dog, and I enjoy, the slower pace here (less traffic and birds chirping). I do miss La sometimes, but I feel like you need to have a lot of money to live there. I always had roommates and now, I’m my 30’s, I’m too old for roommates. But it was a fun experience in my 20’s. I love San Diego though, it’s so beautiful there. But feel similar about the Roomate thing. I do miss the ocean though, and the weather, like a lot!! 😭

The only episode of this entire podcast that was worth listening to. This show has been a disorganized mess. No tea has been spilled, the only person who even was present in any capacity for season 1 was Audrina, but she can only speak for herself. It was good to have a producer on for actual insight, and for once they don’t trash Lauren lol I hope they drop Frankie at the very least and bring in a third cast member to at least keep them on track discussing the episodes
Totally - their guest is leading the interview for them. Just a bunch of yeahs, totally, uh huhs from them.
The first ones were pretty bad. The two with the producers were the best by far.

I feel like she's dodging all the questions by saying I don't remember or what's real....I don't think she's being completely honest about what went behind the scenes. She was part of the crew, how dies she not know or remember what went down especially with the position she held. She just doesn't want to discredit the show and come out and say that alot of the Hills was scripted. We all know that it was but it's ridiculous for crew , producers and executive producers to deny the show was scripted. This lady Shopia seems nice but she's obviously being cautious with what she says and it seems she's trying hard to portray that the hills was real...

If Whitney hated filming so much.... why did she have her own spinoff show The City? Hmmm.....
Because why turn down the money lol and she had already been filming for a few years by that point and maybe wasn't as disinterested in filming by then.
I feel like she wanted to do both shows and knew it was a great opportunity but filming gave her anxiety. It’s understandable

geeze Louise... Frankie interrupting and stopping chat/delivery of info - gotta reel it in... 'producers' are such a different animal... and so many times, Sophia tried to explain what really went on but Frankie kept interrupting that too, as if he knows more... this is hard to watch because there is too much interruption of the guest sharing - it's as if you guys think she's coming back to fill in what you stopped her from sharing... Sophia is delusional in thinking that production didn't overstep the boundary of decency...

Because there was a Producers indicating whether she could openly talk about something or not. They all signed NDAs so they are not to talk about some things.

If you are here, clearly you were a fan, and are curious to see how the rest of the cast is doing. Go watch a Lauren interview if you all are THAT in love with her. No it wasnt her real job it was said it was fake
It started off real … then by season 3 she was making enough money from the show that she didn’t need to work (and never wanted to) so it became a fake role just for filming. Heidi likes to play up anything ‘fake’ about the hills to cover for how much off an a-hole she and Spencer were
Also, sophia, you are very sweet, but you cannot finish an explanation with complete sentences. All you did was beat around every bush, and didnt confirm or deny really anything
