After having an amazing time in Chandigarh, I decided to take the toy train from Kalka to Shimla to explore India's most popular hill station! When I arrived I was shocked at the altitude of Shimla! I didn't realize that it was so high. The height made it even more difficult to climb up all the hills with my backpack to arrive at my hostel. I woke up early the next day to try to explore as much of Shimla as I could before escaping from the cold! I started my day taking the Jakhu Ropeway up to Jakhu Temple. I'm so glad I took the ropeway up instead of walking as it was a long and steep walk! During the 6 minute ride up to the top it started snowing! I was so amazed to see snow in India as generally I think of India as a very warm country. Unfortunately when I arrived at the Jakhu Temple it was very cloudy so I didn't have much of a view, but it was worth it to see the snow! I ended up going to the cafe (Cafe Under Tree) at the top of the temple to try to warm up. It was a really nice cafe where I was able to order aloo paratha and also the local lachha paratha. They were both so good! After the cafe I decided to walk down from the temple to keep exploring Shimla. I had heard that the monkeys in Shimla could be scary, but I didn't expect them to be as scary as they were when I was walking down from Jakhu Temple! Luckily after seeing the scariest monkeys ever, I ran into the cutest dogs ever!!! The dogs in Shimla were amazing because they were all big mountain dogs, but they were sooo sweet!!! After playing with the puppy and seeing the views, it started to hail! After the random hail, I met some really nice guys from Chanidgarh who were showing me how much snow they saw earlier that morning. I continued walking down the hilly streets of Shimla until I arrived at the Book Cafe. I LOVE it there - all the employees are SO nice! After getting a hot coffee I saw the whole view of The Ridge. Then I walked past the two most famous buildings in Shimla - the church and the tudor style library before continuing to walk along the Ridge. While walking the Ridge I stumbled upon Bantony Castle. While I hadn't heard of this museum before, it was only 50 rupees to enter so I decided to go for it. It was actually a really interesting museum that taught me a lot about both Shimla as well as Himachal Pradesh! I then stopped at the viewpoint at Hotel Landmark where I met the most amazing mountain dogs ever!!! They were all so cute and even accompanied me on part of my walk! After walking along the road for a little, I found the nice walkway path to IIAS (Indian Institute of Advanced Study) in Shimla. I finally arrived at the Viceregal Lodge inside the IIAS complex. I was lucky that I arrived shortly before the last tour! Apparently you can only enter the Viceregal Lodge while on a tour and you can't take any pictures/videos inside the building. It was so nice thought and definitely worth it! I then walked back to Mall Road where I ate an amazing paneer wrap. It then started to storm! I returned to the Book Cafe to warm up with a tea when we lost power! After then it was tons of snow all night. I woke up the next morning to a gorgeous, white, snowy Shimla! It was such a cool experience to see so much snow in India!

We Indian always goes to shimla, dehradun, lakshdweep , goa , kashmir, kochhi , kerela , North East India etc etc for travel, but 99% foreigner goes to very dirty polluted area of old delhi , what they want to see😂
I was amazed at how many cool places were in India! Because as you said - you usually only see pictures of old Delhi, Agra, and varanasi. While I liked himachal, kochi, and varkala so much more!! And Hampi! And pondicherry! Sooooo many lol
😂😂
Ladakh,hell lots of snow

India has everything. 🌨️ ❄️ Snow..Mountains.. Lake's.. Forests . Desert 🏜️. It's like a mini continent. 🔥
It really does! I started here in the snow then went to the beach, tea plantations in munnar, camped in the desert by jaisalmer, chilled in Udaipur, sooo many places. And still so much more to see one day! 😍
@@NataliesPassport Still watching your videos.❤️ Amazing.🔥
Awwww thank you 🥰🥰🥰 I’m working hard on my Dharamshala video right this second! Hopefully I can finish tonight or tomorrow 🤞🤞🤞
India is a continent, like many countries in 1, all joined by the British.
And they ruled it from Shimla for a while.
@@NataliesPassport Did you visit Leh.
There's a place called nubra valley and it's a mountain desert with two humped camels. It's a very cool place
These type of Indian videos should get more likes and views.
Aww thank you 🥰 I also want people to know more about all the other cool places in India instead of just old Delhi and Agra. So hopefully I get the rest of my videos edited soon 😅🤞🤞
@@NataliesPassport I just wanna say that be always aware of your surroundings and don't roam around too much at night and don't sleep in tent or something . Don't go to places where no one goes okay 👍
Of course!! I feel like that’s a big part of solo traveling - just to be smart about it! I spent 3 months in India and had an amazing time!! Now I’m currently back working in Bangkok again while also trying to get like 20 more India videos edited 🙈 hopefully I can come back again before my visa expires in November! 😍🤞🤞
@@NataliesPassport Best of luck 🌞
India is very diverse, few countries on earth which has vast desert in Thar to snowfall, high mountains in himachal and oceans surrounding the landscape.
So true! I was amazed at all the diverse places I saw during my 3 months in India! 😍
Abey chup
I am an Indian living in the US. The US is also so diverse as India. You will see all kind of different terrains.
Another best part is the US is a melting pot you will see people from all over the world with different cultural backgrounds, that you won’t get to see in any other country
@@suji1103well I don't vouch for diversity. We are watching what diversity is doing to Europe
@@dailydoseofgaming3593
He was talking about landscape diversity lmao. Also, diversity in India is different from that in US and Europe. Everyone in India is native to the land, thats not the same in Europe and especially US.
Finally someone is exploring other places rather than going to the shady lanes of Delhi. Please visit Sikkim, Kashmir, Coorg, Munnar. The comment section wouldn’t be able to fit the names of all the beautiful places in India.
There really are SO many places to visit in India!!! I hope I can come back and see both Kashmir and the north east 😍
@@NataliesPassportyes mam please come back next time and we have so much things good and bad in india we are fastest developing economy ❤
India is a very huge and diverse country in the world 🌏
28 state + 8 union territory = India (36) 🇮🇳
And many more indian island like Andaman Nikobar, Lakhyadeep etc..🙏🙏
I was amazed by how diverse India is! 😍
Wow snow in India 😮 I did hear about it but seeing it it's different thing 😊 love the vlog 👍👍👍
Aww thanks guys 🥰 it was such a cool experience! Hopefully you can visit Shimla one day! I def recommend! 😍
I dunno why people think there's no snow in india 😂 I haven't been to those places but c'mon the Himalaya range? India is right there
Come on man The Himalayas the tallest mountain range are india 😅
There are many hill states in India where you can see snow very regularly or its very common for its native people to watch snow. But outside world don't know much about this beautiful India😂they only watch what they want to see the dirty poor India which some negative toxic people show purposely to the world to tarnish India's image but truth is truth. India IS a beautiful and a great country!!
Bro india holds 65% of himalayan range.
I m Surprised and Shocked it's just only 10k views...its deserve atleast 1lakh views
Aww thank you 🥰🥰 the last 6+ months I’ve posted only maybe one video a month so TH-cam hates me right now and doesn’t promote any of my videos 🥺 I’m gonna try to get back into weekly posts tho ❤️
There will be millions of views if he was criticising india and showing poor, dirty places where even Indians don’t want to visit. If is it a positive video, nobody cares, so no views 😊
HOGYE 1 LAKH 😂
The North-Eastern regions of India like Meghalaya, Mizroam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Sikkim, Assam will blow your mind as well. Very different from the general idea of India you might have. For example Meghalaya has the world's wettest place on earth (mawsynram), Asia's cleanest village (mawlynong), living root bridge (should be a wonder of the world), waterfalls, canyons with crystal blue water, cloud covered towns
I really want to go to Meghalaya!!! Hopefully I can get there before my Indian visa expires in November 🤞
@@NataliesPassportif you want to witness meghalaya's beauty, no other time but during the monsoons(june to august).
@@NataliesPassport he was Right... That's My Dream place to visit... Specialy Arunachal Pradesh last villege in China...

I must say the street Dogs in India are really friendly and cute...😊

India has a lot more to offer than just Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Kerala and Goa.
Shimla is awesome. Thanks
Thanks for watching 🥰🥰 Shimla was one of my favorite places I visited! But I’ll also hopefully eventually edit my videos from Dharamshala, Kochi, Hampi, so many cool places in India!!! 😍
@Natalie'sPassport
Then You must Visit Murree Hills in Punjab Pakistan
India having everything 😍😍🫵beautifull place's, beautifull culture ❤❤❤❤
and they even have clean roads and there's an actual sidewalk... wowza
lol 🙈 honestly I also didn’t know what to expect in India, especially traveling alone. India is HUGE!!!! It does have the typical ‘dirty cities’ that you would imagine. But there’s also soooo much more 😍😍😍
Even you can find dirty areas in Us and EUROPE.India is huge so you can find both dirty and very clean areas.
@@user-qp6tr6ql1k agreed - there are dirty parts in every big city everywhere
@@user-qp6tr6ql1k you can, but its not as frequent... but some areas in India is well maintained... others... not there yet

The India's diversity and beauty is both kinda amazing and insane tbh.
It really is insane! I had no idea how diverse the country was until I got there 😱😍😍
Lots of love from the Northeast part of India it is also very very beautiful like northern part of India
don't say Northern part . its our Himalayan states of india leh to north east☺ rest north india don't connect with us our culture is open there is very close .
I really want to visit the northeast 😍
We really proud that we don’t go to foreign countries for a snowfall, deserts, like beaches we all have this in India
I just love when foreigners come to India and explore all the beautiful places.... Not like other who just come and eat and go back...
I’m actually not a foodie at all 🙈 I love traveling to explore different places like this 😍😍😍
Shimla city and places are so Beautiful in North India. So cold like everyday'z snow falling on Shimla, Himachal Pradesh and even very many colder snowfall in Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Arunachal, Sikkim that in Places of India. I'm watching from Meghalaya, Northeast India. Thank you for sharing this video were about India's places. You're most welcome to our India. However can you meet with me in my Meghalaya state, Northeast India? Please come back to India, I would like to meet you.
Omgggg Meghalaya is like the number 1 place I want to go to when I return to India! 😍😍😍 it looks amazing!
Good to see foreigners are exploring more places in India.
There are so many places to explore in India 😍
I have been to this restaurant am from delhi india the place is really blissful and it gives peace...
Right?? It was so nice - especially with the snow! 😍
Welcome to India 🇮🇳
This was one of the few vlogs by foreigners that I enjoyed. Even as an Indian myself, your vlogs helped me get the feel of the town and plan my trip! Hope you didn't catch a cold from your trip! Stay safe and have fun!
Awww thank you! 🥰🥰 somehow I didn’t catch a cold, but I was freezing 🤣 hopefully I’ll get the rest of my India videos edited soon!
@@NataliesPassport I look forward to your new videos!
Wow look a foreigner roaming in the actual tourism spots of India instead of polluted slums & dirty back alleys of delhi & mumbai. Thanks for not feeding to the stereotypes & showing the actual beauty of India to the world.
Just loved this video. Thanks!!
Our north india is so beautiful and clean✨🌙 i 🇮🇳
I enjoyed the entire video, i love how you got excited like a kid when it was snowing. India does have snow basically every year. 🌸
Aww thank you 🥰 idk, in my mind India seems like a hot place so I thought it was so cool to see snow there! 🙈🤣🤣
@@NataliesPassport There are also many places here which are snow covered throughout the year

Thank you so much 🙏
India has everything. Must visit place for all travelers
It really is so diverse! 😍
There are so so so many beautiful places in India we Indian's always visit there but majority of Westerners or any other foreigner go to some most stereotypical places or taj mahal......🇮🇳🦋 loved it ❤
Thank you 🥰 and I agree!! I visited sooo many amazing places during my 3 months in India! I wish people would promote places like Himachal more than the already famous places like Delhi and Agra.

Every street dogs in the world are best , becoz of people behaviour towards them, they sometimes show agression ❤❤❤❤❤
The street dogs in India are on another level of amazingness 😍😍😍😍
13:30, This part looked like somewhere from Europe. All these nice architecture shops, clean and beautiful. Thats why I love India. There is chaos and uncleanliness in cities and then the northern part where its clean and beautiful. India is everything. The best and the worst
It really is so diverse! 😍

Guess the founder of Simla, Sir Henry Lawrence was right, that, I haven't seen such a sublime place in my life and its the perfect place for British to live here during scorching heat of plains.
It really was a cool city 😍
This is my hometown, living in new york, people get surprised what sort of Indian i am who is not surprised by cold and snow ☺️

I am from Shimla, and thanks for visiting! Shimla in the snow is unlike anything else; it still has the good old British charm. I run an Airbnb there, and I always tell my guests that they should visit Shimla during the snowfall. When everything shuts down and the only way to explore is on foot, it will remind you of Narnia. PS: Have a wonderful stay in India!
Thank you 🥰 I had an amazing time in India! I’m so happy I got to see so much snow in Shimla - it was such a cool experience 😍
This is the video TH-cam should recommend ❤💙😊
Your unfiltered, honest reactions and experience has made the videos viral. Really loved the Shimla Vibe in your videos. Keep exploring and keep posting. New subscriber Alert ! ;)
You must be from the another world who actually dared to show something new and different than typical stuff like slums shown by westerns to the world. Your Mars is strong in your astrological chart. Good effort nd well made video.
Aw thank you 🥰 I’ve always said I want to travel where I want instead of where TH-cam wants. Then I just make videos of places I love to show my parents and friends where I’ve been 🥰
@@NataliesPassport Very good mindset. It means you don't get influenced that easily and support your own wishes. It's good to live your own dreams than to live of someone"s else. Good personality, nice meeting you.
But I guess that’s why I’m here teaching English instead of living off TH-cam like all the other TH-camrs 🙈🤣🤣🤣 but whatever. I still like it 🥰
@@NataliesPassport Teaching is a good profession, teaching is an art and not all are gifted, Every profession and medium is good as long it doesn't compromises the self-respect and morals. TH-cam is a great tool to connect to the world and to generate revenue. TH-camrs make a lot more than teachers and principles. 😀. It's just the matter of choice, comfort and interest. 😁
Visit Maharastra in rainy season its very beautiful and you can visit ladhak if you are still in himachal shimla there is cold desert there
The only place I went in Maharastra was Mumbai 🥺 because I was rushing to get to Pushkar for Holi. Hopefully one day I can visit more!
No please, Mumbai is not "only" Maharashtra,it's one of the largest States , visit the konkan , the middle part of Maharashtra, maharashtra has a lot to offer and is underrated (except Mumbai) in terms of tourism. I am from South Karnataka, you can have a great 10 day trip in South Karnataka visiting these places: Bengaluru, Mysuru, Coorg (Madikeri), Sakleshpura, Chikkamangaluru , Belur and Halebeedu.
The weather in this part of India is like Doi Inthanon National Park. You will see great natural beauty and architectural beauty.
However, most of the foreigners only visit Golden Triangle in India which is Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Golden triangle has a lot of forts, palaces and monuments. However, you should spend money on tour guides and monuments in Golden Triangle.
If you are not spending money, then you will end up in 18th century Bazaars with shopkeepers talking to you only to sell artefacts.
Then some foreigners want to visit real Indian markets and they visit Chor Bazaars where they meet all kind of shady people in India and irritating child beggars who get on their nerves.
If you see a child beggar in India, take their photo and send it to Salam Baalak Trust, Cry and Local Police. They will try to locate their parents and put them in school.
Aww I met a hostel friend from Bangalore and I wanted to visit but I didn’t have time 😭 hopefully I’ll make it there one day!
Also that’s good to know that the police will make the child go to school!!! ❤️
I recently had a bike trip from Bengaluru to ooty.....it was beautiful and adventurous..... fun fact I learn to ride bike for the first time ... and I rode it for 100 km both ways😂😂
