When I lived on oregon coast i use to make my own spinners for steelhead and spring Chinook. One very effective blade was a silver plated metric blade. The flash was incredible, could see the blade forever. Never see silver plated blades anymore. I now live upper Columbia area of Oregon. Just wonder why you don't see silver plated blades anymore? Expensive?? I found a few left over in my stash, think they could be very effective for sockeye or chinook.
We could but I have not figured out the "why" certain bead colors work at certain times. I just have a few colored beads set up. If Im not getting bit, that is one of the first things I change. You need Red, Chartreuse, Ruby Red, Pink, Glow and White.
So the Mexican hat/gold and bronco/gold that most guys are run all day in 3.5. Those would be considered bright. When the sun comes up and the pressure increases what is the next move? Same patterns and size down to 3.0 or a medium brightness/contrast?
Wow, just ordered 17 blades and got them inn 1 day!!! Thanks!!
@@seansadventures-flyingtrav7901 thank you for the order.
Great info for a newbie like me LOL...On the #3 do you use a treble or just a single hook?
@@seansadventures-flyingtrav7901 prefer treble

I have met Pro at the Sportsman show. He is very cool, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Thank you for the kind words.
Very informative Thank you greatly for sharing
You are welcome
You talked about bead colors? Can you show us what you’re doing with beads for different times of the day?

Would adding/removing a hoochie to a spinner be something to consider for sun or pressure? Remove them as it increases?
very well can. Color of hoochie can make or break you.

Yes and yes. Either downsize to the size 3 or keep the 3.5 but go to copper instead of gold.
Could you clarify when you use the "medium brightness" blades?
"Medium" is what I use when the bright starts to slow down. Mid morning hours on the same fish.
@@VIPOutdoors1 what are u putting on there for bait, and what scents ratio
@@jessielewis3694 Sometimes I will put a shrimp on there like a shrimp spinner. But most of the time no bait.
