You built a tool to build a tool to record how to build more tools. 💪
Hi ❤
Really interesting idea! Never seen that on a tablesaw. I was thinking in the direction of using the tablesaw as a lathe for knife handles but have not tried. 🙋🏻♀️Anna
Thanks! I've seen someone using the tablesaw as a lathe to make dowels so it could be done! I actually used something similar to turn the wheels for the belt grinder
@@Gabrulo_knifemaking yes, I have seen that as well. However, I have not done it yet (or build specific jigs) because I don’t do mass production :) however, I often use the tablesaw to get both sides of a hidden tang handle exactly parallel to the blade and same thickness. Less work and room for error on the belt sander. 🙋🏻♀️Anna
Absolutely, the table was makes faster and easier to get squared handle material👍
@@Gabrulo_knifemaking i actually use it in combination with a jig after the blade is in the handle, because it is difficult to align hidden tang blades exactly parallel to the handle material during glueup and to drill precisely in the middle of the handle material. If you are interested you can see the procedure in the BBQ knives video, but I double check if everything is clamped down doing this operation 😂
Ooooh nice idea, will check it for sure!
Hey man, how do you protect your camera from the dust and the sparks ?
Easy! I don't protect it🤣 i use a cheap handycam, if i had a reflex i would surely use something like an acrilic box or screen
@@Gabrulo_knifemaking oh okay 😂
Hi ❤🏅❤
Well done, although you could say you made a pivoting lathe.
Well, thanks😅 i didn't know the name of it
5:30 is cleaver
Thanks!
Nice! But with hole is not interesting )))
I needed the hole for mounting it, but with a dowel it can be easily closed
