    I love oils because I have l long damage hair, some leave-in treatments work just as well, but in my opinion good oils are superior to leave-in treatments

    Hello Mike,
    I have been washing my hair like you taught us. Amazing results.
    Ok I have a question- I use kerastase shampoo and conditioner, then I apply morracon oil and kerastase ciment thermique.
    You said we don’t need oils. I am running out of oil and I was thinking of buying this kerastase oil.
    Shall I skip it?

    Loved your video thank you! questions.. 1- do you think this would make hair look greasy? 2- would you recommend it to someone with very thick/coarse hair texture? 3- is it better to apply it on dry or wet hair? Thank you so much :)

    • @MikeDeCanter
      @MikeDeCanter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Linda no if your hair hydrated it wont make it greasy. Oil is not good for my hair coz my hair is in a good condition . If your hair is thick and course it will be perfect. You can apply it on both dry and wet but if you are afraid it will make it greasy apply it to wet hair x

    I was thinking to ask you about an alternative to kerastase oil and here you are haha! I love kerastase elixir, I’ve been using it for 8 years 2 bottles/year. But for the last 2 years I’ve been trying to find a cruelty free alternative and haven’t liked anything so far. Can you please perhaps research into brands that don’t test on animals?

      @@ilikeoranges8784 I apply the oil after I shower and have had my hair in a turbi-twist hair towel and my hair is damp - ends first - then some on mid-lengths and use a wet brush after I have worked the oil into my ends. I have fine hair blonde highlights and lowlights, and this oil is one of very few that is light enough and does not affect my color (I have blonde highlights). A small amount goes a long way - a drop or two depending on your length and hair type. Hope that helps (this is for Mythic Oil Originalle from the Salon in the US).

    Hi, Mike, love your videos! I just always wondered how can an oil protect hair from the heat - wouldn’t oil combined with heat fry our hair? Like how can that work?! :D I also think that my fine hair doesn’t need oils, they make my hair greasy and even thinner. I just use a little bit of coconut oil on my ends but that’s just when I have split ends, not when my hair is freshly cut. Thanks in advance! xx

    • @thanhtaile3966
      @thanhtaile3966 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both of the oils are tested to ensure strong heat protection so you don't need to worry much.

    • @giovannacarazzatto1863
      @giovannacarazzatto1863 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, some oils (like mango oil/butter, linseed oil and extract) do have some heat and UV protection properties. But the star when it comes to heat protetion in hair oils is mainly silicone (in a certain quantity). =)

    I have both but the original kerastase not the pink. I think in terms of finishing oil the l oreal one is better and for hydration protection kerastase is top. Mythic oil tames frizz and doesn t leave my hair oily at all I use 2 pumps daily and i have fine hair. What I don t like is that it smells like fixing spray the scent is too strong and it has drying alcohol which can be a problem for dry hair. Not sure if I d repurchase it because of the ingredients and the unpleasant smell. Kerastase has amazing ingredients and doesn t leave my hair oil even though it scared me to use a lot cause pf the texture. It s so weird to use a thick formula after a very light one. I was afraid it was going to leave my hair oily but I was pleasantly surprised that it worked amazing and the smell is so much better and not strong. Mythic oil is rlly a salon oil, one time amazing results but used constantly can be damaging due to the harsh ingredients.

    Hi Mike. How are you Darling? I have greasy hair, damaged ends. I’m using genesis shampoo, genesis mask ( the conditioner isn’t available in my country) and genesis serum for my scalp, serum therapiste for ends and elixir oil as an oil bath , as per my hairdresser recommendation. Still my hair isn’t healthy at all, lengths are damaged (I have grey hair, it’s coloured a lot). I’m no longer sure if I should continue with this routine. The thing is I don’t want to cut my hair (Maybe that would be the solution)Thank you in advance for your recommendations.
