Thank you for asking, Kisembo! To answer your question, we've included a scripture along with Andrew's commentary notes. We hope that you enjoy! Matthew 5:17 (KJV) 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Note on Matthew 5:17: "This is a pivotal statement. Why would Jesus even bring this up? It’s because His preaching was full of mercy and grace (John 1:14 and 16-17), while the Law was full of justice, punishment, and wrath (Romans 4:15 and 6:14). If He had brought the same legalistic message the Pharisees were proclaiming, no one would have ever thought He was out to destroy the Law. Jesus didn’t destroy the Law; He fulfilled its every demand (Matthew 5:18). There is a huge difference. Many people think that after Jesus came to the earth, God changed. He just decided to be merciful and change. That’s not the case at all. He didn’t change. He put all His wrath for our sins on His Son, and Jesus paid the full price for all our sin-past, present, and even the ones we haven’t committed yet (see my note at Hebrews 9:12). So, the Law wasn’t destroyed or disregarded; it was fulfilled. All the demands against us were satisfied in Jesus (see my note at John 12:32). Now we can stand before God without any sin-consciousness (Hebrews 10:2), not because we are holy through our own actions, but because we were recreated holy through the new birth (2 Corinthians 5:17 with Ephesians 4:24). The Law wasn’t sin (Romans 7:7). The Law was perfect and holy (Romans 7:12), but we weren’t. Therefore, all the Law could do was condemn us (see my note at 2 Corinthians 3:9). Once we come to the Lord and accept our salvation through faith in Christ and what He did for us, we are no longer under the Law (see my notes at Galatians 3:23-25 and 1 Timothy 1:8-9)." - Andrew Wommack's Living Commentary If you are interested, we encourage you to head to our website to read more of Andrew's commentary notes in his free Online Bible Commentary. Abraham was righteous because of faith ONLY, because he sin. He told a half lie (even Sarah was his half sister - she was first of all his wife). Then he did not really believe God when God promised him a son. That's why he wanted to "help" God fulfill His promises by having a child with Hagar. did they not bout doubt the promise of God, Abraham and Sarah. Yes, they did - but still the NT say the believed God - and that's the foundation for their righteousness. So it not that they were perfect But trough GRACE you are seen as PERFECT. All your sins is like you NEVER committed them! That's why we can confess - "Im the righteousness of God in Christ" - even wen we sin one million time. Because the anointing breaks the yoke. This is the anointing: Salvation Anointing = Yeshua Hamashiach. HE (it) will do it!!!
