I did the same. I saw Dimitri could learn armshift in archer class and knew I had to get him that to spam atrocity more.

@@lewisp2862 I found out it's a three-star archer ability that lowers the cost of combat arts. So I grinded that for dimitri so he can use stronger moves more often.
But not every character has that specific boon. My Shez couldn't get it.

Two things:
1. I'm gonna do an entire playthrough where i only control Ferdinand as much as possible, regardless of the situation in honor of Billy...
2. The more accurate thing i do with a Thief, is wait for them to burgle the chest and then intercept them, so i don't have to waste time killing them AND go get the chest myself, and just steal the loot off of their mangled corpse!
i just pick Shez, z o o m my way over to the thief, delete said theif, then either nyoom to the chest or get it as someone else (or, if you're blue lions, just have Ashe nab it for ya)
I am planning on recruiting Ferdinand when I play Dimitri and Claude’s paths
@@hannahmichaelson2317 Apparently some datamines have shown that certain characters won't be recruitable in certain routes, pretty sure ferdinand was one of them

Considering you choose whether they're M! or F!Byleth, along with their name, there's almost no chance they won't be playable.

For the record, Ferdinand von Aegir isn't dead - he's just been permanently relocated to Gonfalon Bay, rowing his gondola and singing a certain song for all eternity (ESO High Isle reference).
i haven't had the time to start high isle yet, is billy in it? and where might i find this reference?
@@KylaFallenAngel124 In Gonfalon Bay, stand on the bridge to the Gaming Hall and look to your left. A gondola often passes around the island, and the nameless rower can be heard singing. This rower is, of course, voiced by Billy. Billy has also provided the voice for a certain bard in one of Fargrave's taverns in the Deadlands DLC.

The thief scene was hilarious! I remember sending my units after said thieves in the demo on every route. It does feel kinda hilarious when you're dealing with Rufus, Cornelia, Duke Aegir and Arundel, but a random thief with a key takes top priority.
Your targets are not going anywhere, that thief is gone if you let them.
Literally let all my units take care of the fort and I used the closest unit myself to get rid of that thief. The only thief I need is Ashe-boy.

I used Ashe to open the chest in a map as well. It was funny how I didn't need the thief at all.
I have Ashe in the map but beat the thief’s ass anyway.
@@l.n.3372 Did as well! I love how before the tutorial about Chests and Keys if your Blue Lions, he pipes up to remind you he can do that without needing the key! (And in a way that doesn't feel like he's bringing it up all happily seeing how his backstory is it's a useful skill, but he'd rather forget about his thieving days)

All out offensive on a random mook is how the game was meant to be played
Except for the maps where you gotta protect 3 allies. All out offensive leaves at least one of those allies vulnerable and then they get insta-murked

Just to add insult to injury: we lost Billy after they JUST got to doing a drug test with new meds that could destroy Rectal Cancer at Stage 4 and make it uncatchable ever again!

The juggling! Flugel Shez would definitely make an excellent juggler indeed! I know, since I've done that several times already.
I do hope that Flugel isn't the only new class. I'd love to see some other classes from previous games.
I also wouldn't be surprised if we got the DLC classes. They'd probably be master classes.
@@TheTrueJevil I did notice the Dual Wielder's Ploy skill on Fluegel mentions an Asura class. That's most certainly Flugel’s upgraded class.
EDIT - I was right. Asura IS Flugel’s evolved class.

Yeah, that's basically how it goes, although usually I just send one person, or in Azure Gleam, send Ashe to get the treasure, but still send someone else to kill the thief anyway.
How I missed these
I'm going to be completely honest: I love Shez as a protagonist way more than Byleth, solely because they seem to have more personality
Probably because this time the player character actualy has a voice and doesnt just do hand gestures

Over 70 hours into this game. Literally did not figure out what those purple crystals do until I watched this. Thank you; now, if I die, it will be in peace.
I finished each route around 5 hours and 30 minutes in the demos, and decided "what if, I max out every class for Dimitri?" and so then I spent a total of 12 hours more (17 hours 30 minutes is my total) literally getting Dimitri to max out every class, and leveling up everyone to level 15. If there wasn't this level cap, my Dimitri surely would be somewhere around level 30 or more.

Shez is such a better protag imo. Even if Byleth magically had more dialogue in the main game than originally I'm sure Shez just has a better personality imo. It's been fun listening to the dialogue/conversations. Whoever is the femShez voice actress did a good job (i have not played mShez yet).
Well, it's hard to compare a live person to a technically dead person. Byleth doesn't have much of a personality both for gameplay and story reasons. Shez can do whatever because the plot of the story revolves around the house leaders (until we see more of the story, Shez is basically just coming along for a ride until their next fight with Byleth). The danger for Shez's character is they could be the plot device to awaken Sothis in Byleth and then become mostly irrelevant afterwards.
@@nicodalusong149 Fair enough. I just mean whoever wrote Byleth could've done something better imo. But like you said, it's not like Shez is peak writing or immune from problems. Hopefully Shez doesn't become absolutely irrelevant.
Also, off topic but it's cool how you can see how some characters grew up differently cuz Byleth wasn't in their life. Ignatz became a knight instead of a full on artist, for example. Whoever thought of details like that did a good job.
@@nycto5335 Oh, most definitely. The differences are mostly palpable and that's good. Even who they have as A-supports (if they even reach that level) are different because of the shorter amount of time they have together in the academy.
@@nicodalusong149 Agreed, the story made it painfully clear via Jeralt that Byleth was pretty robotic before the game's story (Sothis awakening in them) happened! And it's their interactions with the cast that have caused them to start developing emotions instead of faking them badly!
Shez never suffered this issue, seeing how their earlier dialogue before the first battle in the game is them being expressive, as Arval was never awakened till the change of events caused him to awaken inside Shez! This adds some legitimacy that Byleth used the mother of all Divine Pulse to go back in time to before Three Houses began in the Sothis paired ending, which may have had the effect since they came back to the point they killed Shez as they had more wiggle room to do what they planned and were caught off guard that the kid they fought and beat easily had a power they didn't know about at the time, hence not killing them like they did before out of curiosity! Arval was awakened instead of sleeping as he was because of the divine pulse being felt (otherwise Shez WOULD have died as history dictated it) I'm saying this because of Arval's obvious connection to the people TWSITD are apart of and the fact Thalas showed an ability to interfere and even sense with Sothis Divine Pulse (hence why Jeralt's death by Kronya couldn't be changed! )

In the first few chapters the AI of the characters I sent to seize the enemy's fortress was kinda smart. I tried choosing Blue Lion as my first route and I sent Felix alone to take over one of the enemy stronghold and he made it before I know it. I play on "hard-classic" by the way...
Same here! Dimitri was taking Strongholds on his fucking own quickly, even when the enemies had FUCKING TRIANGLE ADVANTAGE OVER HIM! He took a stronghold with TWO Type advantage enemies as quickly as it took me to order him to take it since he was nearby and me getting back to what I was doing elsewhere! I sent Felix to support him and frankly he took it and killed those enemies BEFORE FELIX EVEN GOT THERE! (He wasn't too far, hence sending him as backup)
I have the thief one happened but the sad thing for the thief is he spawn right next to me. Yea he had a short time existing

Man..sending everyone to take down a thief…I just had everyone defending Monica and made a dead sprint swinging wildly to hopefully thin the herds as I made my way to the thief myself.

I had a friend over when I started the deml, I didn't know what to name Shez and Byleth, so my friend named both of them Byleth.
So now missions will probably become confusing

I plan to finish making videos for playable 3H characters, though Rodrigue may be tricky since he doesn't have much dialogue. Hopefully I'll get something usable in the full Three Hopes game
the most inacutate thing about this was how the ai contoled characters where decent I can send the three of them to capture one base and in that time I can capture 3 of them and kill other units on the way
In my experience the AI controlled allies work just fine if they're leveled up and have weapon advantage.
Unless if you mean in hard mode, then yeah they do take a while there.

Can someone please tell me what's going on I have watch the trailers about 3 time now and can't figure it out why our character from three houses are the bad guy now and we play as shez now that character look cool but what going on here I mean I already pre-order the game because I want to play it but still vary confused what's going one.
In the original timeline, Byleth kills Shez in the middle of the woods.
However in this timeline, they manage to escape, vowing to train stronger. Because Shez is now alive, the 3 lords bump into him instead of Byleth on their way to Remire village.
Making it so that they never meet Byleth, and they never become professor
I know this is seven days late but, you should really play the demo.
