Hi friend i am and was n will be eternally one devoted fan of Mr Glenn Hughes and your recipe for heal our souls and conquers our hearts with power of your unique voice and presence stage performing your awesome songs solo carrer and in bands he makes part
I've seen lots of interviews with Glenn and this one is definitely the best. Just like two old mates having a chat. Relaxed, respectful and just a little bit different from all the pro forma stuff that he usually gets asked. You made the effort to think about the man behind the headlines, and it really paid off 😊
Thank you for that, I am not experienced in this but I do have a genuine curiosity about people which sometimes makes me approach them from a different angle. Glenn had a very nice vibe around him so it was easy to talk to him.
Burn is the best DP album that GH appeared on without a doubt in my opinion. Actually - I’ve been a DP fan from the VERY beginning. I remember going out and buying Hush in late summer of 1968 - I was 10. Then of course I bought the album Shades of Deep Purple. That being said - I think Burn is my top DP album - with In Rock very close behind.
Tnx for makes a awesome talk cheek to cheek like a friends in a bar one awesome and clearing interview love that and last year in 07 11 23 i had the pleasure to watching him live in Porto Alegre for first time in tribute Burn
Wow this was great! What a legend ! Well done on interviewing him. Would love to see you interview more of our rock guys. Metal blessings from London 🖤🙏🏻🤘🏻
Burn is my all time DP favorite album, but I like very much Stormbringer it has different type of songs, great playing by all musicians and fantastic vocal harmonies.
It’s not easy to interview a legend, a person that you admire… You did it very very well, with the respect and the cool ( as usual)right combined.. I’m jealous, I won’t stop saying that, I wish I was somewhere around.. * Perfect t shirt choice! October in Athens!
Thank you! I really enjoyed this one and all the time I got to spend with the band and the crew that day. Really great guys. And are you going to see Hellripper in Athens? I will see him again here in August it was just confirmed last week... and there is always a job available as camera assistant for these interviews
@@metalandrockzoneI think I will go to the Scottish! I surely want. And if the distance was not SO BIG I would take your offer seriously. I would be the best aid worker you could ever find..
yes that is a great album, a little bird told me that there might be a tour with Glenn sort of playing songs from his whole career on the cards and mentioned material of this album to be there.
It's a great point on his vocal longevity - he might not have had the workload that Gillan and Coverdale had but maybe he also had a better singing technique? When DP reunited in 1984, I was hoping that they would recognise all their 'marks' with guest spots at concerts, maybe also on some tracks on albums. It was always going to be MkII dominant, because that is where the fan base was/is. I thought it was quite sad that they basically acted like MkI, III never existed. I think their albums might have been stronger for more recognition of the whole of DP, as only Perfect Strangers and, maybe, Purpendicular rate for me as being really good albums, from the post 1984 era. For me the strength of Deep Purple was that they were such good musicians they could encompass a wide range of styles, but the reformation period was quite narrow. Others will feel differently. With Glenn it is the range of work he has done that is one of the really attractive things.

Glenn is a legend. I saw this tour one month ago and it was awesome. Amazing voice with talented musicians in his band.
Yes both him and the band are amazing.

Glenn's amazing and has had such a great career. Even in his later years he's lost nothing and still brings it. He's a legend 👍

Thanks for watching and your kind words! I am always looking for more musicians that I can interview!
Lovely to see/hear a new interview. Waiting for november when he comes to Sweden 😍
Thanks for watching, it was both a pleasure and an honour to meet Glenn in person.
Tommy Bolin was a genius on a different frequency to Purple and took the gig for $. His fusion work turned Jeff Beck onto fusion.
thanks for watching

Glenn made a fabulous album with Pat Thrall, i would have loved to see a second but i think i remember reading they fell out...

Yes I think any sort of reunion, even just one night would be so amazing. But as far as I can hear that has never been close to happen unfortunately

He always looks nice. Except for the time he had that mullet. 😅💝

@ I’m sorry but it’s true! Nobody looks good in a mullet. How the hell did people come up with that!
Not sure but good that its not super popular nowadays
Sorry Glenn, but it was 1 with Tommy and 2 with Ritchie. Yeah. Play Me Out right after Purple was one of my favs. Peace.
Hmm he said it the wrong way? I must have missed that
@@metalandrockzone he's played with Tommy a few times after Purple. And I think they've even played together before Purple.

He didn't write Burn .. it's a typical BLACKMORERISH track .. so don't take him for granted
Does he say he wrote Burn?
He co wrote burn..got the royalties for it a couple of years ago..
